We are repeat offenders at the Fisher House BnB. The best innkeepers, Dan & Peggy we’ve come across. Not only is this home beautiful, but it had great amenities like, pool table, poker table, games, puzzles, guest kitchen with snacks and bottled water and an overall relaxing atmosphere. We feel like family when we stay and look forward to our next stay.

What a wonderful place to stay. A home away from home. The host and hostess were incredible helpful and accommodating and we found the home a delight. Rooms are large and well appointed, beds super comfortable and amenities top shelf. I have stayed in every hotel in Clinton and this is by far the best accommodation. We will certainly book again on our next visit

We loved the suite we booked and the easy check in and parking right in front of the house. The completely unacceptable issue was the roar of the toilet! I cannot imagine renting a room when the toilet makes a noise so loud it always wakes the other person sleeping in the room. I was stunned speechless. The kitchen upstairs was lovely and stocked with items you could make for yourself and a refrigerator, microwave etc. With only a few rooms on the 2nd floor, it was quite nice. We liked the wrap around porch but were keenly disappointed that there was no where to walk "downtown" as the retail stores nearby are boarded up except Dollar General. We were advised to drive 2 miles to the riverfront for our walk and that was pleasant. Because of the "iffy" nature of the neighborhood we drove to our dinner spots which we normally would not do. Breakfast is plentiful, honest home cooking. The hosts have breakfast with you to engage in conversation. Game room with pool table was good. Left with mixed feelings.

The home is beautifully restored. Each guest room has a modern bathroom, and rooms are up to modern standards while maintaining historic charm. Excellent cleanliness throughout the house. The hosts are genuinely welcoming and pleasant. They love to share the history of the home. Breakfast is delicious and they provide plenty, so you won’t go out hungry.

Great place. I like old river towns. Peggy and Dan are awesome to talk to at breakfast. Incredibly attentive and the work they put into this house is awesome. | Perfect location with a short walk to cool restaurants/ bars. Very low key and local feel. Easy, safe street parking right in front.

This unique gem of a place was absolutely hands down the highlight of our very first visit to Clinton. This massive and breathtaking home sits prominently on the corner conveniently located. Upon arriving, we were greeted cheerfully by Dan as we were still getting our carryon luggage out of the car. Upon entering, we were doubly greeted cheerfully by Peg and by our names written on a cute blackboard at the check-in desk. We were given a brief tour and discussion of where to find everything, including the quiet front sitting room, big dining room table where breakfast was to be served the next day, a fun billiard room with poker and pool table all on the first floor before heading to our room upstairs as well as shown the shared kitchen stocked with snacks, chocolates, and bottled waters. The Charles Baldwin room we stayed in was so comfortable (thick carpet and cozy bed) and nicely appointed (royal feeling four poster bed and antique looking lamps). The next morning we ate a hearty homecooked breakfast with the owners and four other guests (two couples) where we got to hear the history of the home, the sale, and its renovation journey. Honestly, we felt like we were staying at a home away from home and in fact, wished we were staying another night. This is just a lovely place with lovely owners/hosts in a lovely city.

I can not say enough about this house and the wonderful owners. This was our 1st time at a bed & breakfast experience, and It was nothing short of wonderful, food was great, and it was nice talking with the owners at breakfast to get their back story about how they started this business. From talking to them we found out they also have a couple of Airbnb's in the area that I will be looking into. |We will be back!

The Fisher House is the finest Bed and Breakfast I have stayed in. I appreciate history and they have obtained that perfectly. The unique part that sets them aside from other historical B&B's I have stayed at is the recreated furnishings, which brings a freshness to the home. My comparisons are from diverse areas such as Boston, New York State, Florida and the Midwest.
