What a magical experience! We are so glad to have listened to our daughter, who is a repeat guest. Charming is the best description from the themed cabooses to the dining room, to the delicious breakfast, and the sweet owners & staff! The pool was clean and refreshing. So much to see on local drives or just sit and relax! La Loose Caboose was great! Hot tub in the middle of the caboose & a mirrored ceiling! Happy Birthday to ME!

This was the first time my husband and I stayed at a bed-and-breakfast. We booked Casablanca for our anniversary weekend and staying there made it uniquely, memorable, and romantic! To confirm my reservation made sure there were no special request. The next morning the breakfast in the dining room. The next was absolutely delicious. They also have a great gift shop. I would definitely recommend for a quiet romantic getaway.

I've stayed at feather bed twice now! Beds are amazing!! That's one thing I require... Sheets are perfect bed is perfect. Mykaliah is also very amazing she's very knowledgeable. Every question I had she had the answer. Highly recommend this place. Perfect for a couples night. Kids not so much. I'll most definitely be back!!

By far the best place! We keep coming back for the hosts - amazing, as well as fun themed caboose rooms. Clean and well maintained, lake view for a couple cabins, but quiet enough to enjoy unplugging for the weekend.

This was SO much fun and a unique experience!! We stayed in the Wild West caboose. Wonderful choice of furniture and decorations to create the theme room, big claw bath in the bathroom (which also offers an overhead shower), absolutely delicious home cooked breakfast, lovely lady working hard to make us welcome and happy. We started the evening by sitting next to the lake on the old white seat enjoying the view
Then, moving to the picnic table outside the caboose, we enjoyed the picnic tea and bottle of Californian bubbly we'd purchased from the big grocery store about 5 minutes away. As dusk set in, three storks came to roost in the tree above us. Later, our Netflix streamed nicely on the caboose TV. There were several garden games around the site, and board games in the breakfast room. We hadn't brought swimming costumes so we didn't try the pool. The hairdryer worked well and the WiFi security was strong (that's surprisingly rare in a lot of holiday accommodation). I had missed the email asking about dietary requirements but the lady had no problem at all presenting an interesting, delicious and vegetarian breakfast in the morning. If you're after luxurious amenities, housekeeping at the end of the phone and an ironing board for your best clothes, stay somewhere boring and corporate. This place is offering comfortable accommodation with a unique vibe, and should be enjoyed as a rare treat. I absolutely loved staying here and by Christmas all of my friends and family will be sick to death of me talking about how great it was 😂😂😂

We stayed in the Casablanca caboose and loved it! The ceiling fan and AC kept it very comfortable, even though it was over 102 degrees outside. When we checked in,the host asked us about dietary restrictions, which was great. Breakfast the first morning was waffles, sausage, and a selection of fresh fruit, and they actually served us early so we could make our Skunk Train reservations. I loved the trench coat on the coat rack! The decor was fabulous. The bed was very comfy, and the sheets were quite posh. Getting up and down the metal stairs was a bit of a challenge for an older woman with arthritic knees.

We stumbled upon this wonderful little bed and breakfast out of a last minute plan change and we could not have been any happier! Each caboose is individually decorated; we stayed in the Harley Davidson caboose and loved it! The in-room jetted tub was amazing! It was super clean. (Highly recommend for couples!) They gave a bottle of wine with glasses upon check in and it was delicious, plus they have additional bottles for only $5. It had a nice, clean pool for guests as well. The grounds were beautiful and surrounded by grass and trees. And the breakfast was delicious with juice, coffee, fruit, and a cheese/bacon/egg croissant. The staff were all super friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful, and accommodating. The location was right down the road from a restaurant and around the corner from a grocery store so super convenient. Cannot recommend this place enough! Will be staying here again!

I can't praise enough the fantastic and engaging customer service I experienced at Featherbed. This wonderful, non-corporate business is located on the shores of rustic Clear Lake, California. The resort features several train cabooses converted into themed lodgings, each equipped with jetted Jacuzzi tubs for personal use.

On our first night, I had the incredible pleasure of sitting on a deck for hours, enjoying the lake view and the serene environment. Putting down my devices, I identified at least seven different bird calls from various species of waterfowl and enjoyed watching their families swim and feed. I was able to breathe deeply and relax in ways I hadn't for years, all enhanced by the loving and joyous attitudes of the caretakers. We met all four staff members, each providing an exceptional level of customer service and engagement, making us feel like we were in a different world compared to today's corporate-run chains.

The first afternoon, my partner suffered from heat stroke due to forgetting sunscreen. The owners kindly found pain relievers and provided Otter Pops at no charge, their kindness really making our day. They serve complimentary breakfast each morning, not the usual buffet line with cold eggs and old fruit, but a delightful meal served in an actual dining room, making us feel like honored guests.

Featherbed is rustic and quaint, incredibly relaxing, and we will definitely be visiting many times over the years. If you and your family are looking for an affordable and relaxing getaway that evokes the charm, warmth, and family-friendly welcome of yesteryear, this is the place for you!
