This is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Elevator was broken, it was dirty and everything was old. They allow pets and our neighbors dogs were left to whine and bark all day. They had a No housekeeper sign on duty and asked us to bring our own towels down to the front desk. Didn’t have a do not disturb sign so ask that no one comes in our room, they did anyway and only emptied trash and then turned on the ac when it was 20 degrees outside and we had set the heat where we wanted it. The toilet kept clogging up and overflowed. Breakfast is a joke because it’s so gross. The indoor heated pool was not even warm. The refrigerator and microwave were dirty. Main window on 2nd floor was broke had standing water in the stairwell. The owner turned our whole trams key cards off in the morning so we had problems getting back into our rooms way before check out.

This hotel was not the best. Our hotel room door wouldn't latch all the way, one of the locks were broken on the door, the light was burnt out in the bathroom, the smoke alarm was hanging by a wire from the ceiling, the walls and headboards were sticky and the blinds were broken. The elevator was also out of services and there is no ice or vending on the 2nd floor.

Have stayed here several times over the past several years. The facility is clean but some of the furniture is becoming rather shabby. While we can ask for, and it is given, they seem to skimp on amenities, I.e. bars of soap. The one thing that is a super irritant is the wifi-of all the times staying here tonight is the first time we have been able to get it in our room. The annoying thing is the signal is so poor that almost anything that we try to look at is unavailable due to the poor signal. The price of staying here is reasonable but FIX THE WIFI. If we return to Du Quoin we will seriously consider seeking other accommodations.

Update: after leaving (4 day stay) we were less than satisfied. The rugs in the common areas were filthy, the dining room was only cleaned once and on our final morning the waffle maker was not turned on. The batter was at the bottom and had a funny color and the coffee in the thermos was only warm - this was about 15 minutes after the breakfast area opened. The trash was not emptied in our room and twice we had to have the handle on the shower tightened so that we could shower, the management said that a plumber was not available on the weekend. I believe he is so cheap he doesn’t want to pay for anything. The best part of our stay is that the bed was comfortable and we did discover that to use our iPad it worked pretty well using data rather than their non existent WiFi. I would suggest seeking different accommodations unless there is a turnaround in the management running of this place.

This hotel has seen better days. The checkin area and lobby have peeling paint and broken chairs. Hall carpets need cleaning. Base board in room was torn off and not replaced. Thermostat in ac/heat unit did not work. Furniture in room was broken. Staff was friendly though.

It is very dirty everywhere from a remodel. Paint all over carpets. The pool is green, but kids didn't mind. Front desk man was very nice and helpful when we needed a replacement key card. Great location for the softball tournament.

Rooms were clean and bug free. The bathroom lights were a little dim for me, but the vanity was outside the bathroom and had good lighting. The fridge and microwave in the room was a blessing! Located right next to the gates of the fairground.

Probably the dirtiest and nastiest hotels I've ever been to. Found pubes in the sheets. Thick layer of dust on the night stand. No fridge. Lamps did not work. A person was living in the room next to me and kept going in and out all hours of the night. Their door kept slamming every 30 minutes. They advertise breakfast, but only had cheap waffles and frozen sausage biscuits that you had to heat yourself on Saturday ONLY. The clerk was very rude when I went to get a room (JP). I really do not think that was his real name. I asked to speak to his manager about the poor service and he told me no. We have an account there and all the people I send to town stay there. When I go to stay there, JP told me that we have no account and I pay full price. We were their biggest customer. Good luck keeping that bedbug infested place a float without our business.

MAKE SURE YOU WASH YOUR CLOTHES AS SOON AS YOU GET HOME. BED BUGS!

Decent, no-frills accommodation within walking distance of the state fair. The room itself was very clean and the mattress very comfortable. However, I was a bit disappointed that housekeeping took my dirty towels without replacing them--i hung them on the rack which means I'm fine with reusing them in most hotels, but in this case I was left having to go down to the front desk to get replacements. Also, better hope you have quiet neighbors because the walls are paper-thin.
