Hotel staff was nice at check in but the condition of the room I was given was disgusting. There were around 20 little hairs all around the head area of the bed, ranging from short curly ones to long strands of hair. Seems like the sheet wasn’t even replaced after a stay and they just remade the bed. The fridge also had a black mildew or mold and I had to get a replacement room which was annoying after such a long day

In short, everything about this hotel needs to be overhauled but the staff is friendly. I’m closing in on 800 nights at Marriott properties and have been lifetime platinum for 15+ years so I’ve stayed at many of them and I can say that this is one of the worst. We stayed here only because it was near family and I try to stay at Marriott properties (not the same after SPG). The luggage trolley was falling apart. The bars were wobbly and moved. The first room was an executive suite. The sofa bed mattress was very thin and very uncomfortable. I had messaged the hotel at 7am that morning asking them to prepare the sofa bed and they didn’t. When I asked for mattress pads or anything to make it softer, they had nothing. The toilet seat was loose. The bathtub was dirty. The ceiling was peeling. We moved into a double queen room and it was fine, but the toilet seat was loose as well. If executives read this review, please consider moving this hotel up so that it will be quickly renovated. The pool was nice, though the bottom step on one of the stairs into the pool was not stable and you could see how the pool stairs had been repaired. This is a safety hazard. One day there were towels in the pool area; the next day there weren’t any. For the positives, the staff were extremely friendly and the location is right off I-80 so it was convenient to get around the south suburbs. If this hotel won’t be renovated soon, there should be another Marriott property in the area. I was so tempted to stay at the IHG Even Hotel across the street. This hotel should not be the only local option and senior leadership should prioritize a complete renovation.

Rooms are ok. A little dated, kind of smells like a gym shoe.

However, the rest of the hotel is nice, and the pool is HEATED!

I was only here for one night on business. As mentioned in other reviews. The hotel is a little dated. I was checked in promptly. The staff was very nice. Check in and out was seamless. The wi-fi worked at a good speed without having to pay for an upgrade, but you do have to join their rewards program to use it. The room was clean on my arrival. I had a room on the first floor with two queen beds. Both had very firm mattresses that have been in rotation for some time. It was difficult to get comfortable. The air conditioning unit is on the wall. It was set at 67; the room didn't get quite that cool while I was there, but it did cool to the point that the room was not unpleasantly warm or sticky. I am a light sleeper, though, so the unit kicking on periodically woke me up throughout the night. The room had a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge (no freezer). Breakfast is complimentary but only until 10. I was in the lobby to meet a co-worker at 9:50; and it had already been cleaned up...so go down early. There are at least 3 other hotels in the industrial complex this hotel is in at a similar price point. I hope this one considers at least some bed and ac upgrades to remain competitive.

Service is really friendly. Breakfast is a cut above the standard continental breakfast. Rooms are clean and quiet.

Overall it feels a little dated, but, for the price, you're getting a great deal.

Stayed here with family for a sports tournament weekend. Front desk was very professional, courteous, and cooperative. Hotel needs a refresh to say the least. Is an older Marriott property indeed of a very well needed rehab. Bedrooms were cleaned and maintained daily. However, overtime rooms develop a musty smell. We would look elsewhere for a different more modern updated property or next visit. No complaints with staff. Breakfast was pretty good.

Excellent 4 night stay. Professional and friendly staff. Probably the largest and best free breakfast buffet on the planet. The hotel was very clean, and well lit. The pool area was very well maintained. We will definitely return to this hotel.

We brought the grandkids (2 & 7)to Tinley Park for a concert at the amphitheatre. The staff was awesome - friendly and helpful; helping to even out the paper pads in the room, extra towels, tracking down ingredients in the waffles to avoid allergies. Thank you Fairfield Inn for making our stay so much more enjoyable!
