Our stay at Exit Glacier Lodge was great it was clean quiet and restful overall. Staff is friendly and very helpful. A few negatives - internet is spotty at best and cell service about the same (Verizon for us). No shuttle. A few walkable places for breakfast (coffee drive through and other lodges) but need a rental car for exploration or contract with tours that will pick up. The Salmon bake restaurant for dinner on property is a bit pricey but food was tasty. The Crepe place nearby was yummy for breakfast. We had cabin 4 - basic with fridge and microwave. No AC but a heater and the staff provided a box fan. I would recommend and stay there again with my own means of transport to be able to better explore Seward.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Exit Glacier Lodge in Seward, Alaska. The staff and owners were super friendly and helpful, offering great suggestions. The hotel was clean and quiet. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The towels were soft, fluffy, and had an amazing fabric softener smell.
I would highly recommend it over any of the hotels in Seward. Dinner next door at Salmon Bake was also good.

We arrived very early for our stay. Todd the manager was extremely friendly and obliging. Offering us a lift into the town of Seward, recommended a local family run Crepe-ire for brunch. He also organised a local tour of near by Exit Glacier. The bedding/linen and room was clean and comfortable.|The property is well maintained and clean, but keeps its period and Alaskan charm.|All interactions with staff and other guests made us feel genuinely welcome and not just a number in the tourist cog.|We both felt we had a genuine “small town” stay with Alaskan hospitality. |Todd’s personal attention to our needs and willingness to help was the real charm!

This review is relatively objective being posted after 9 nights in Alaska in 5 properties as part of a 49night/25 property USA road trip.||We stayed for 2 nights in June.||Easily found on the outskirts of town with plenty of parking.||Convenient for the glacier.||Pleasant staff - and a real shout out to the mother of the manager who allowed us to use her cellphone to solve a critical credit card issue - very much appreciated.||This is an older/dated property (which we normally enjoy) that had a strange vibe (for us - but clearly not for other reviewers) of being functional and open for business whilst at the same time being closed. Perhaps a result of the lodge only being seasonally open.||Internally it was dark and strangely almost gloomy in decor - see comments above. ||Our 2nd floor delux room was large enough and comfortable.||Breakfast was minimalist||WiFi was decidedly patchy and intermittent - we used the adjacent (and excellent) Salmon Bake restaurants’ system.||Alaska in season is pricey, as was the Lodge - but would rate it average value for the season.

Our room was very comfortable and clean. There was a coffeemaker and small refrigerator in the room, plus hot water and microwave available any time in the lobby area. The location is very convenient to town, restaurants, and Exit Glacier. We were able to rent bear spray for our hike out to Troop Lake. The manager and his family were very friendly, helpful, and professional. We'll stay here again when we're in the Seward area!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Exit Glacier Lodge in Seward, Alaska. The staff and owners were super friendly and helpful, offering great suggestions on where to go and what to see in and around the park. The hotel's close proximity to Kenai Fjords National Park is a huge advantage, making it easy to explore the area.

The on-site restaurant, Alaska Salmon Bake, was fantastic. The food was well-prepared, and the service was top-notch. While the restaurant was excellent, it's also nice to know that there are plenty of other dining options and a good grocery store in Seward if needed.

Overall, Exit Glacier Lodge provided a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Charming, old AK vibe in a renovated hotel. We had 2 Rooms on 1st floor & they were well maintained & clean. Coffee available in dining area every am & didn't miss the typical 'hotel' breakfast at all. A great crepe restaurant is within walking distance at Barnappetit. Salmon Bake Restsurant is next door to the lodge & we dined there the 3 nights we were there (Lodge provides a 5%off coupon). Excellent food & staff. Hotel is quiet & peaceful compared to being on the waterfront. Also an easy drive to the glacier where we hiked. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch, playing cards in the evening in the dining area & appreciated the book selection of AK culture & history. We only had good vibes from Todd & staff ..the 3 monkeys on the windowledge kinda sets the tone.
