I am a local photographer based out of Visalia and I have been photographing at Evergreen Island for many many years. It was recently purchased and is under new ownership. I can honestly say the new owners and staff really care for what they do and it shows. I noticed that everything ran very very smooth at the last wedding I worked there Oct 10, 2020. Jose the coordinator was really on top of things and was very easy to work with for both the couple as well as the vendors. It takes a whole wonderful staff to make things run well however and they really kept things running smoothly; from serving dinner on time, to getting the champagne out in time for toasts, and cutting the cake for guests they really were on top of things.
As a photographer I always find plenty of beautiful areas to photograph the wedding party at this location. There are pretty spots for any time of day. I cannot appreciate this more because it gives me areas that help to inspire my creativity on the wedding day. On those hot days it is really nice to have access to some shade too!
So happy to see new life brought to this beautiful venue. I hope to see this place flourish in years to come!

My son’s wedding was so beautiful. The staff and wedding planner were so organized and helpful. Everything was set up and ready. The food was amazing. There was bagels and coffee for the women while we were getting ready. It was just an inviting and welcome feeling from the very start. Thank you for making my son and daughter-in-law’s memories so happy I highly recommend your venue.

The staff were kind, professional, & attentive. They also helped assure the wedding looked & went beautifully. I was there with my 2 young children, & when it got really cold while my youngest fell asleep, they gave blankets & moved one of the heaters closer to us.

Beautiful place, great place for a wedding and the food tasted great. But food delivery was horrible, the lady in charge of placing plates to the guests would scatter plates throughout all the tables so people sitting at a table would have four or five with food and others waiting for their food, which meant multiple groups of eight would have half the people finishing their food while others are still waiting,... made no sense. And then when everybody was done eating they decided to start serving the dressing for the salad.

But with that said it was a great place except for that one lady's bad decision on telling where the waiters to serve the plates I wish I knew her name.

Booking Evergreen Island was the best decision we made when booking our wedding on 3/20/21! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and once the sun sets, the lighting is so spectacular. Jose and the Evergreen staff were absolutely amazing. He was wonderful to work with and really showed professionalism. All of our guests loved the venue so much and thought the food was delicious. If you are debating on this venue, don't, just book it. I promise you won't regret it!
