I had my wedding at Events by Cibula and it exceeded all expectations of what we thought it could be! We had a last-minute, intimate wedding that was thrown together very quickly made possible by Events by Cibula. It's such a unique space that is still customizable to your vision and the staff and owner really made it all happen! We had the most perfect day and got so many compliments on the venue. The best part is that it's the perfect space for any occasion whether it be a wedding, baby shower, birthday party, private dinner, holiday party, fundraiser, etc. Thank you, Events by Cibula for a wedding we'll never forget!

Recently had a fundraiser at this event space. Our event was for around 80 people. The space accommodated our group well. The staff and management was helpful and responsive to our needs. We were able to bring in our own decorations but we didn’t need to! The space is eclectic and fun! Thank you to staff and Linda, the owner! We were able to raise money for SisterHouse and have a fun event with minimal effort on our part. Catering is also available from Events by Cibula!

My friend had her wedding at the Foundry and it was such a beautiful venue! They had their ceremony and reception on the rooftop which was gorgeous. The service was incredible and everyone I spoke with had a great time! From the first floor to the roof, there were quite a few stairs, but the view was worth it and there was an elevator for those who needed it. The place had a ton of fun artwork and a lot of personality. I loved it!!

My wife and I had a joint bridal shower at the Foundry in Forest Park and all I can say is it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Linda and her team did a phenomenal job from the food to the drinks, making sure the event ran seamlessly and that everyone was having fun. The main space is so unique and cool, the vibes are on point and the rooftop has spectactular views of the city. We had a good size group and still had plenty of room. Definitely recommend booking this location for any event, was as awesome experience!

I hosted my “baby welcome” party here in May. Initial interactions were positive, but several unfortunate events transpired.

I initially booked the 2nd floor (with rooftop) because I wanted something intimate for what was expected to be a smaller gathering. Shortly thereafter I was notified that the 2nd floor would not be available because the guest count I’d provided couldn’t be accommodated in that space. Everything at this point was finalized. I asked if I could recheck my guest count before they moved me off the 2nd floor because I really wanted to keep the more intimate space. I was then told that me moving to the larger space was more so a requirement not a request. I was taken aback because if I lowered my guest count why wouldn’t we be able to then use the space without exceeding capacity?

I decided to come do an in-person tour of this new larger space I was now being required to use. I want to reiterate that at this point the ladies were all very nice and accommodating, even with us being late to our tour due to traffic, they stuck around for us and were very gracious around our tardiness. During the tour I was then told I was being moved to 1st floor because someone else was already in the 2nd floor space for my dates. (Why would they proceed to accept my deposit/booking and not immediately notice the oversight, and why was I initially told it was because of capacity?) We proceeded to tour the larger space which is in fact very nice for larger events, there is a lot you can do and many occasions that would be well suited there. Note that we discussed that it was supposed to rain on my event day but everyone was seemingly on the same page that we wanted to make use of the rooftop if it wasn’t actively raining.

Event day came and the following things happened:

1) We were told the rooftop could not be used because it rained overnight and the pillows were soaked. Well, why would pillows be left out on a rooftop the day before an event if everyone was aware of rain in the forecast? If this was a wedding would the same lack of planning have taken place? I ended up removing the wet pillows myself so we could have dry seats and utilize the space if needed.

2) The elevator did not work at all. As the daughter of a wheelchair bound father, I was extremely disappointed in their lack of concern for not having an accessible route to their rooftop which I had been told several times would be available and even have an elevator operator on hand. Mechanical issues do happen, but there was no apology or show of concern at all and they did not know if any of my guests were actually handicapped.

3) While we were setting up one of the team members left her used hairbrush on one of the high boy tables we would essentially be eating on. I’m an understanding person and I’m sure it wasn’t intentional (just another example of not being mindful) eventually when it wasn’t removed I picked up the hairbrush and returned it to her. I would’ve expected she’d come back around and maybe sanitize the table, didn’t happen.

4) I ended up having far less people attend than originally quoted. I felt defeated throughout the entire party because although it wasn’t the venue’s fault that my guests did not show, I started to feel the result of not following my instincts. To this day I regret allowing a misjudgement on their part lead me to a space that wasn’t a great fit for my event.

5) Finally I present attached the custom drink signage they made for me at the bar. As you can see the sign was completely unacceptable. Even this was avoidable, but yet another example of lackluster effort and lack of preparation for my event.

I truly feel as the customer I was beyond flexible with their last minute changes, and lack of proactivity and attention to detail. I was not offered any compensation for these things, even after I requested just a partial bar supply comp. I hope as they transition into their rebrand they’re able to address these comments and make adjustments to have 5 star experiences for everyone else moving forward!

I LOVE THIS PLACE ! It is absolutely beautiful. Like a fun museum. Great for parties, weddings, showers, birthdays. Linda has had great parties for us at Empowering Gardens. She is so artistic & her spaces show it. We absolutely love Linda & her “one of a kind”event space. Book it. You will love it ❤️
