My husband bought me a session with Tina Marie Kelley for my birthday. I had never had a facial before, but had at least a general idea of what to expect. My experience ended up being far more luxurious and most importantly, beneficial for my skin than I had imagined.

I have periodically problematic skin due to early hormonal breast cancer and treatment, and impending menopause. Unable to take the typical estrogen-based treatment for premenopausal symptoms, I have occasional hormonal acne that is 10x worse than anything I dealt with as a teenager, and is painful, embarrassing, and has resulted in some frankly traumatic scarring. I was having a bout of it when my appointment rolled around and I almost rescheduled out of embarrassment.

Not only did Tina Marie instantly dissolve my awkwardness with her highly professional demeanor, her workspace was spotless, calming, beautiful and instantly transporting. My day had started out difficult and my nerves were a little shot so I was nervous-talking and had no idea if I would be able to relax. She patiently listened while focused on what she was doing and I felt myself relaxing completely despite my best efforts not to. 😉

Peaceful, luxurious experience aside, I was amazed at how amazing my skin looked and felt after my session. I honestly had no idea how much could actually be done in such a short time, and I'm a little embarrassed to admit-I thought a facial was purely pampering, I was very ignorant of the health-related aspects, and it enlightened me to how important skin care on that level really is. I learned to care for my hair properly years ago...how did I allow my face to go so neglected for 45 years

So the bad news is that I now recognize that this higher level of skin care isn't a frivolous luxury, it's an important part of taking care of your body as a whole-so it isn't going to be the one-time self-spoiling event I expected it to be. Tina Marie's prices are competitive, it's not nearly as expensive or out of reach as I thought it would be.

I truly believe that the reason my experience was so positive that it changed my entire perception of the service is directly related to the way Tina Marie consucts herself and her business. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a solution to problem skin, a deeply rewarding hour of selfcare, or a thoughtful, impressive gift for someone you feel deserves something they may not necessarily treat themselves to without a little push. Or, you know...me. Because I'm hooked and want to go back as soon as possible! Curious to see how amazing my skin would look when it's having a good day already, after the same treatment. I plan to go to a bar directly after just to see if I get carded.
