We read recent reviews, and we were pleasantly surprised. The breakfast is wonderful, choices for all diets. The rooms have been updated and were very nice. The pool was available during open hours. I used the fitness gym, it could use some updates, but I was able to get a decent workout in. Definitely will use this hotel when in the Birmingham area. The staff gave excellent recommendations of things to see and do in the area. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

I would highly advise against staying here until they address their issues. ||Upon arriving at our suite , we discovered that there were no pillows—only two small, decorative 12x12 pillows placed on one bed, despite the suite having two king beds and a sleeper sofa meant for five adults. When I approached the front desk, the attendant seemed disinterested and informed me there was a "pillow shortage." At a hotel of this caliber, that explanation is simply unacceptable. After some insistence, we were begrudgingly provided with two additional pillows, which was still not sufficient. I eventually had to seek out additional staff members to gather enough pillows for everyone to have one.||Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. When we went to take showers, we found there were no bath towels in the room—only washcloths and hand towels. Again, I had to contact the front desk for basic necessities. This time, the staff member who assisted me was even less helpful, answering my questions only by shaking her head and not offering a single word of assistance.||Even worse, when my wife went to shower, we found dark, thick, curly hairs (appearing to be pubic hairs) stuck to the body wash and shampoo bottles provided in the shower—an absolutely disgusting and unacceptable oversight in cleanliness. I have photos documenting this.||While a slight discount was eventually applied to the bill, it did not feel adequate given the multiple issues we encountered during our stay. For a final bill of over $1,000 for two nights, this experience was a major disappointment.||In short, basic expectations—cleanliness, available linens, and responsive customer service—were not met. Our stay was stressful rather than relaxing, and I absolutely regret booking here. I sincerely hope this location takes serious steps to improve, because right now it is not living up to the Embassy Suites name.

while a fun hotel, I noticed that one of the recent photos taken by another guest had the toilet flush handle replaced with a button on top. I visited this place back in November last year and there was still a toilet handle. despite being a review, this is more of a curious question. why was the flush handle removed? I plan on coming back, but I don't know when. EDIT: I meant to put October. thanks for the answer. hope to see you guys again someday.

The staff was friendly and efficient. They checked with me shortly after checking in to verify my satisfaction. I had a nice renovated room that I was very pleased with. My previous stay here I did not have as nice a room and the staff was not as good. This location has been around for a while and is a bit dated. I feel that they are making an effort to addressed this

The rooms were having some remodeling done so I think some they had thrown together to let people have a room to stay. The service was fantastic from the front desk, to the restaurant, to the breakfast staff. They didn't have a bartender for the nightly reception which wasn't great.

We read the reviews but had a hard time believing them. We used to live here and knew what this Embassy has to offer. This Embassy was great for our family’s one night stay. Very clean, very kind and welcoming. Our room had been renovated and everything seemed very new and updated. We will return for our next trip to Bham!

Should have read reviews before I booked. I had an absolutely unbelievable stay at Embassy Suites in Birmingham. After a full day of activities in the city we back to our room to shower. I called the front desk to request towels—basic hotel necessity, right? Nope. They informed me they didn’t have any towels available. I was floored. Instead, they offered me washcloths and bath mats. Seriously? A hotel without towels is beyond comprehension. This place clearly doesn’t have its act together. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy drying off with a bath mat. The hotel was clean, but the guests are not allowed to be. One star is generous.

EDIT. ROOM 725 , phone call with front desk occurred around 10:30 pm on 3/22 if phone calls are recorded for quality assurance purposes.

Extremely poor experience. Ended up here on a diverted international flight. Arrived at 1am not in room till 330 am. Only one very grumpy guy checking us in. No apology for wait. No smile. I understood why we were grumpy but it’s his job to be nice even at 2 am. Not enough towels despite asking in advance. No USB. Room falling apart. I would never stay here voluntarily.

Hilton you need to have new management take this pile of crap over.
