This restaurant is nestled behind other businesses, Kinda hard to see. Inside is beautiful. Love the decor! The front is hard to get in, kind of a tight space. Parking is tricky. Service was on top. Food was good. Great atmosphere. Restrooms were clean & well stocked. The service was exceptional. We had asked for a table next to an outlet, because I am on portable oxygen, and my battery was dead. So, it was extremely nice to be able to charge my tank while we ate! Outstanding.

We had eaten already but it was national margarita day so we had to go. The people we were with ate and food was good like usual. The blueberry margs are where it's at though! They were packed but seated us within 5 minutes and we had a 3 year old. I was impressed and thankful. Server took good care of us and checked on us multiple times

Over the top fake wannabe Mexican atmosphere. Service was slower than slow. I could've just drove south of the border in the time it took to get out "food" that was brought out and pretty much down on the table by a rude waitress that didn't even make an effort to set the correct order in front of the person who ordered it. Even when she KNEW that all 4 dinners were in front of the wrong person she just stood there smirking at us as we rearranged the orders ourselves. After we did that I totally regretted it because the food really couldn't have been any worse unless it was cold and hard but I guess that's the only thing they did right. Served the food nice and hot. Totally ruined our night.

Just walked in and out. There's no signs saying seat your self or wait for someone. I ask the cashier do I sit myself. He was taking care of a customer just rang up card. The receipt came out said hold on real quick. To the person paying for his food. I apologize to the customer. As the cashier got a menu and started walking me to a table. He tossed the menu and just walked away. 😮‍💨😮‍💨 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 This place is no good.

El Rancherito is the very best Mexican restaurant in Quincy, IL.
(and we have lot of them.) Their food is as close to authentic
Mexican. The portions are very good, too. The restaurant is brightly decorated with painted murals and comfortable tables and chairs. The waiters are very nice and knowledgeable. We enjoy going there to have a good meal and to relax. Prices are very reasonable, too. They have carry-out and it is handicapped accessible,

I'm a Latina from California and was in town visiting family, when my nephew suggested going to El Rancherito for lunch and gotta say I ordered one of the best Chilaquiles I ever eaten. It was quite a bit of food at a very reasonable price. I had to get a to go box because I couldn't finish my plate. My nephew ordered a wet burrito with queso blanco and his friend ordered a chicken salad with pollo in a hard shell. I loved the atmosphere, the colorful decor and the black & white photos of Mexican celebrities like the famous comedian "Cantiflas". I will be back hopefully again & again. 🇲🇽🇺🇸💗😋
