What a lovely stay! I wish I could give the service 6 stars. We had no idea this stay would be as entertaining and warm as it was - Charity and Dre were incredible hosts. We learned so much about the island, the mechanics of the current and retired fog horns and also smiled and laughed at their stories. And we hit the jackpot with the other guests - staying up late playing board games and drinking wine with such lovely people. Note: in case you're like me, I get very seasick but the boat ride was super quick and easy, no issues. Also, we stayed in the Marin room and LOVED sleeping to the sounds of the fog horn!

We had an AMAZING time this weekend! Dre and Charity were so nice and made us feel very welcome. After we got to the island, each couple received a DELICIOUS charcuterie board and champagne or sparking cider. Later, they served us a 4 course dinner that was also so delicious! We could also drink as much wine as we wanted. In the morning, the fruit and homemade quiche were amazing, and they provided juice and bottomless coffee.

The island was BEAUTIFUL! We stayed in Walter’s Quarters in the old fog horn building, and the view from the room was BEAUTIFUL!!! The innkeepers provided bottled water and 2 chocolates in the room, and each room had 2 complimentary tote bags for us to take home.

There was a sink in the room, but the bathroom for Walter’s Quarters was across the fog building room, but it did not feel like an issue at all (see pictures).

Overall, our stay was PERFECT, and beyond our expectations! Highly recommended!!!

What a great experience to sleep at the lighthouse. Dray and Charity were wonderful hosts , they greeted us and showed us around the island . Dray is a great chef and fed us with great food. Charity is gracious and kept us all fed and comfortable. All the rooms have great views of the bay. And it’s so close to home but you feel a world away. Great stay, we will be back.

We booked the whole place for one night for a birthday celebration. Dre and Charity are the most charming hosts, having intimate knowledge of the history of the place. Dre is a wonderful chef--the food was superb. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet, with a game's room and parlor available. The outside seating is a large circular table and chairs, where we enjoyed hors d'oeuvre and champagne on arrival. The tour of the whole place was fascinating, and we had fun with scaring seagulls with the fog horn demonstration. Wine was freeflowing at dinner, which was scrumptious! All in all we had a fabulous time and will definitely be back!

This trip was brilliant fun! The island is fascinating, the inn is delightful, the company was fantastic, and the food was incredible! Charity and Dre, the innkeepers, accommodated each of my family member's different food restrictions with good cheer and no fuss -- and the results were delicious. The other guests were great conversationalists, and I think we all had a good time getting to know each other. I took tons of photos, as the views are amazing. We've visited a bunch of the lighthouses along the California coast, and this one is unique because of how close you can get to it, and because the island also houses a foghorn, which the innkeepers kindly play for guests before you leave. The foghorn equipment is a step back in time, and super interesting. My husband and I and our adult son stayed in the Two Sisters room (named after two other islands visible from the room). This is the only room that can accommodate three people, and we were lucky it was available while our son was visiting us. I think we've all decided we want to make the trip again.

All around amazing experience. Dre and Charity, the new hosts of the island, were absolutely fantastic with their welcoming friendliness and amazing meals - delightful charcuterie board, wonderful dinner and breakfast. My hubby and I stayed in Walter's Quarters, an incredibly cozy space with the most spectacular views of the entire bay area. We cannot wait to come back!

We spent a foggy rainy weekend at the East Brother Light Station. We were in the Marin Room (one of the rooms with a shower). The room was comfortable and clean. Even with the fog, the views were nice. Food was fantastic and plentiful. Stephanie and Bryan were wonderful hosts. Bryan even went out to help rescue a vessel that was in distress while we were in the island. We had never been before, and we didn’t know any of the other guests before we got there. Everyone was kind and considerate, and the conversations at meals were great. We’d love to come again.
