I've stayed here while working in Lake County a few times and appreciate it for offering a great night's sleep. As others have noted, the rooms are small and do not have closets, but for the price and location, it can't be beat. The owners and staff are lovely and communication is great, the beds are comfortable, showers hot, and, leveling up - Perry's Deli is directly across the street (open at 5am on weekdays) and there are cute pups to greet you on premises. There are also a few great restaurants in Middletown and of course lots to see and do nearby. I'll be back!

Supposedly, they play politics and I was told, "Im guilty by association." For something that happened and had nothing to do with me. They 86ed me for who I know. I would never come here anyway ever again. They discriminate. I dont play politics.

Nice place. Stayed there one night because Harbin had no rooms. Good deli across the street, good coffee a short walk into town.

I would love to write a 5 Star Review on the Eagle & Rose Inn, I really would but I can't. But let me start by saying that the owner is super nice, friendly & kind but I don't think this is the business she and her family needs to be in.
When we first got there to check in, after seeing wonderful pictures on the internet, we found the office closed from 1pm - 3pm. Prime check in time and after driving 4 hours for a "Celebration of Life" service for a dear family member. Middletown is not a big town so there was not a lot to do except wait.
So after 3 she shows up, again super nice, and gave us the key, one, to the largest room that we reserved. It didn't look like the pictures.
There were NO closets.
NO place to hang our clothes or even hangers. NO blower dryer in the bathroom. NO iron or ironing board, we had to ask for one.The air-conditioned/heater kept us up most of the night with the noise it made. And in ordered to lock the door, with the only key, 2 of us had to lift it up so it could latch into the wall.
Plus we couldn't park in front of the room because it was a "fire lane" which we found out after we checked in.
Again...the owner, Super Nice and it was hard for me to write this. But the facts are the facts and giving the place, not her, 2 Stars, is being more than generous.

Do not stay here! 1st room has ants, switched to a 2nd room. 2nd room has dirty tissue inside the sheet, switched to a 3rd. 3rd room has a bad weed smell. But it was freezing cold and we can't stand moving around any more. The hotel managers were not helpful at all, very grumpy and didn't even try to make things right. I requested that the owner of the hotel contact me to make things right, but they never did.

I have actually never stayed there. Drive by it quite often. It is always very busy there. Never too many empty rooms. Little town is a great place lots of things to do very nice people. Parks. Nice walking area short distance to Cobb Mountain and other places. I have no doubt that eagle and Rose Inn is a very fine place.
