This stay was amazing! Such a charming living area to use, with fresh cookies, a self serve tea and coffee bar, and the room was amazing. It had extra blankets, pillows, and temperature controls inside. Also a small coffee machine that I used while getting ready in the morning. The bathroom was also superb! So beautiful and everything was really clean. I loved this stay in such a cute walkable area. I would love to visit again 🙂

This gorgeous property is located within a hop skip and a jump of all the fun stuff to do in downtown Murphys. The accommodations are beautiful. The rooms are well appointed and the lobby and dining area make you feel as though you are staying with family. The staff is absolutely the best and the breakfasts are prepared to perfection. This little sanctuary is an absolute gem. I will go back again and again.

My wife and I just spent a week at the Dunbar and had a lovely time. The accommodations were exceptional and Sarah and Marie took great care of us! We love Murphys and look forward to our next stay there. The 1880 home has a great feel and transports you to older time in the northern California gold rush era.

We loved our stay at the Dunbar House. Relaxing and lovely.

It was a weekend where an event was going on and we worried about parking but parking was easy, they have spots just for residents. We stayed at another location in the area during an event weekend and that place didn’t care its patrons didn’t have parking.

The rooms are clean and fresh, I loved the soaking tub.

The best part of the stay, the food, really! We had the best breakfasts! The chef is wonderful! If she had a restaurant I would love to go there everyday! I don’t know how those potatoes were cooked inside but not burned like how most places do them. The veggies and fruit were fresh! There was NO tasteless hard melon that I feel most places serve. Ah if you stay make sure to tip her, the meal is free but she works hard!

Enjoyed a nice two night stay at the Dunbar House. The room was comfortably appointed and amenities were perfect, Breakfasts were relaxed and the chef was very friendly. A very nice place to stay if you want the convenience of being able to stroll in downtown Murphy’s and walk to restaurants.

Our Stay at Dunbar House was beyond what was advertised!
Everything was wonderful, the Town of Murphy's, the food in town, the staff at Dunbar House, the Giant Trees Park and of course the wine tasting rooms. We only got to 8 of them and brought back 4 cases of wine.
Can't wait for our next visit! 10 stars

Great place very cozy and clean. The morning breakfast was excellent and was conveniently located walking distance to downtown and all of its restaurants and bars. Would definitely come back again with my wife for a longer stay. Definitely try this place out

Loved our room under the eaves. The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed sitting outside and having a drink before we walked down the street for dinner at the hotel. Very easy check in and out. The bed was comfortable. Lots of interesting books in the library. We would stay there again.
