This was the best stay on our Alaska trip! Lisa and Dan were fantastic and extremely accommodating. They made you feel like one of their family. Zak's hide-away was so quaint. A lot of special touches. The new retro trailer- Goose's getaway- is just adorable. The place is sooo dog friendly and includes occasional views of Moose. It is located half-way between Seward and Homer. Will plan to stay here on our next trip !

What an amazing place!! The scenery is beautiful. We saw a moose hanging out at the pond that sits right behind the house! The owners are super nice and of course they the cutest dogs! Dan and Lisa we truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again on our next trip. Thanks for helping make our vacation a great one!

There was a lot of noise until midnight the night before. I got up to complain and asked for a refund the next morning. After a few texts and phone conversations with Dan he finally agreed to refund me for my remaining stay within 7 working business days. It has been longer than that and I still don't have a refund. I would not recommend staying at Duke's Black Dog Lodge if you are an awesome Alaskan vacation and are looking forward to a quiet place to sleep. There are much quieter places around town that are more convenient.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was very custom. Even the art was all by the owners. The property was great and our dog loved it. Check in and out were easy and communication with the hosts were great. Sadly we weren't there at the right times for a workout class. We hope to return.

We stayed at Zakk’s Hideaway for one night this fall. It had everything we needed for a night away from Anchorage with our beloved pup. Comfy digs, WiFi, and an incredibly warm and cozy comforter made for a good stay.
