We got married here and we couldn't have had a better experience! The staff were on top of it, especially Glenn and Brooke who went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect day. Did it rain 1 hr before our ceremony? YES. Did the staff have umbrellas and rain tents ready for this possibility? YES. Did the rain stop 10 minutes before the ceremony, and the staff promptly removed the tents and cleaned all the 100 guest chairs? YES. That's what you'll get with Double Eagle. Superb service, a laid back environment, and tons of laughs and timeless memories.

This Resort was amazing! Our family stopped here for one night on our way to Yosemite. Wished we booked more nights. The staff is what made our best experience! Chris was so helpful and accommodating at their Spa. He made a relaxing experience for our family after driving all day. Very clean facilities and equipment.

The restaurant was fabulous! Get the "Howling Coyote Pasta". Great portion sizes too. Table service was very professional and Lali our server really just created a wow factor environment. She helped keep our 2 year old well entertained throughout the meal.

Our room was very clean and welcoming when we arrived. Room was set to the perfect temperature with very comfortable beds. The room was spacious for our family of 5 with plenty of drawers and closet space to store our belongings.

And of course you can't beat the amazing views of this location. This resort really blew me away and overall was just a great vacation spot for our family. Can't wait to come back!

I got lucky and photographed two amazing weddings at Double Eagle this summer and they both reminded me why this venue really is one of the best I've worked at! I highly recommend it for couples looking for a picturesque mountain wedding venue in the sierra. Here's some beta on it!

The bridal suite is nice. It's spacious, well-lit, and clean. It's an open canvas and perfect for getting ready photos with the bridal party. It has a calm and inviting atmosphere being located just upstairs and around the corner from the resorts day spa.

On to the ceremony space..This is where the magic is. With Double Eagle located at the base of Carson Peak, the mountain range sits behind the ceremony space and provides an epic backdrop of towering pines, craggy peaks and of course, horsetail falls. It'll blow the socks off of your bridal party and guests! This area is great for family photos too.

For portraits, I always like to plan a quick 20 minute-ish escape from the venue with couples to mix up the scenery, give my couples some time alone, and to create epic landscape portraits(hopefully)! Double Eagle is surrounded by all kinds of natural features like lakes, forests, creeks, meadows, and mountain—all within easy walking or driving distance, making this part of the day easy, super fun, and an awesome adventure.

The reception space is also really great. It blends rustic charm with a high end classy vibe and is perfect for dinner and dancing, with plenty of room to party. The team at the Double Eagle Resort also deserves recognition for their exceptional service, quality of food, and attention to detail. They really crush it.

Put Double Eagle Resort & Spa on your list if you’re on the hunt for an awesome mountain wedding venue in the Eastern Sierra. It’s an incredible location!

The room felt like they were built in the 90's and never had been touched since that time. Everything is old and not in a charming way. You can hear if your neighbour talks, walks, or uses the bathroom. The room was cold even on a sunny and warm day. If you want to use a microwave you have to go to the main building. The Wi-Fi is simply not working. The way to your cabin with your car is very bumpy. They take way too much money for what they offer. Yes the surrounding is lovely but the hotel itself isn't. Save your money and go somewhere else.

It's like heaven on earth. And I still feel that way nearly 40 years later, after it being the first place that I came into this world. Being born in Mammoth lakes.
All the employees were fantastic. The pool area is gorgeous. Everything about it is gorgeous. The cabins are cozy.
We got breakfast buffet and lunch buffet. I will say that the lunch Buffet on both days was dry and tasted like maybe it was not fresh, as if the night before is left over food.

But probably the food from the menu would be delicious because it's melt and look delicious when we saw it otherwise, we just ate the buffet only.
The jacuzzi and sauna are nice too.

We held a women's retreat there and it was perfectly accommodating other than the fact that the upstairs meeting room is small and not wheelchair accessible. We had to get the employees to carry the gal up the stairs in her wheelchair.

Hidden gem! Beautiful grounds. The service is great. Absolutely loved their spa building. It had an indoor pool, two hottubs and a wet sauna. A restaurant/saloon on grounds. I recommend and will return again!

Our stay at Double Eagle Resort was incredible! It was my wife and I's first family trip with our new baby (10 weeks old) and the resort had everything we could want, restaurant on site, spa, catch and release pond, and gracious, pleasant staff who were very accommodating to any requests we made. We stayed in one of the cabins on site and got to experience our first large snowfall while enjoying the warmth of the in-room fireplace. The food at the restaurant was excellent and we tried different items at all times of day- breakfast, lunch, dinner and desert. Particularly the salmon at dinner stood out to me and my wife loved the chicken sandwich for lunch. I would 10/10 recommend this resort for your stay if you want a beautiful and relaxing place to stay that is close to several lakes and a short drive into town.

Perfect home base to all the fun. Beautiful. Rooms comfy. Restaurant is good but service slow. Kids loved fishing at pond and swimming. Wish bike paths were safer and mosquitos were less. Bear was seen twice and deer once.
