Wow, what a lovely place.... The gardens are beautiful on the large property. Our room, overlooking Lake Almanor and views of Mt. Lassen in the distance. We enjoyed a serene kayak paddle to the island and our guide (Woody) picked us up by boat.... The room had a full kitchen with a dinette and living room. Super clean, fully furnished and all utensils included. We will be back to experience the harmony this property provides.... ❤️

Beautiful views of Lake Almanor and Mt. Lassen in the distance. The cabin was very clean, updated and full kitchen. Lovely grounds with many places to relax and enjoy the views. Perfect for anyone who enjoys water sports.

Lake Almanor at the north end of the Sierra Nevada range is a man-made jewel surrounded by forest and mountain peaks. With boating, fishing, biking, hiking, camping and swimming, this area is a vacation Mecca, and it has a variety of places to stay.||||Accommodations range from campgrounds to motels and hotels. There are lovely little lodges along the lake, and one of the nicest is the Dorado Inn, located on the east side of the lake, just five minutes south of the peninsula and the marinas. ||||The Dorado is right on the lake, with a place to launch your kayak or fishing boat, a dock and a private beach for swimming. The rooms are actually apartments. We stayed in a two bedroom, two bath unit that had a full kitchen, TV, wood burning stove and a porch with chairs where we relaxed in the afternoon with a good book and glass of wine and watched the sun set over the lake. They also have one bedroom units. ||||The Dorado is perfect for families. The kids have their own room, and with the kitchen, there’s no need to seek out a restaurant for every meal. ||||On Season rates are: 1 Bedroom Unit $840 / Week (Sat. to Sat.) and 2 Bedroom Unit $1155 / Week (Sat. to Sat). Off Season rates are 1 br.--$110 / Night and 2 br --$145 / Night.||||Boat, kayak, bike and jet ski rentals are about five minutes away at Knotty Pines Marina, and the town of Chester is less than a 15 minute drive. ||||Innkeepers, Steve & Lisa Williams, will make you feel at home and the units feel quite homey. We stayed here for a weekend and Attended a wedding that was held there in October. It's an awesome place. Our two bedroom cabin couldn't have been more perfect. We love staying somewhere so nice and being able to cook our own meals. Very well thought out. The view is wonderful and so was the atmosphere very peaceful and quiet.
