Everything was good, Beatrice was a sweet server, patient with my latte order(I’m a little picky). Cute place, welcoming. They also have a patio for NICE weather time.
Went here for my girlfriend’s birthday & they do a ‘birthday celebration’ silver dollar size pancake stack (3) with a candle & asks the entire place to sing happy birthday for you- SWEET!!

The atmosphere is great the service is excellent The Waitresses are very friendly and well trained. They have dishes from Colombia Guatemala Mexico and Cuba The management is excellent . The food portions are not as generous as I like for the price. Most dishes to start at $ 14 end up . They don't have a child menu back up on request they can do one. They have a very good quality tea.The restaurant is very clean including the bathrooms.

My boyfriend and I were visiting Chicago and staying in Skokie. We passed this place en route to another famous local spot but tiene around and decided to stop here instead. I AM SOOOOOO GLAD WE DID! It was absolutely amazing. Our food was delicious. I ordered chilaquiles con chorizo and was not disappointed. Crispy tortilla chips, delicious plantains that gave the dish a wonderful sweetness that went well with the chorizo. My boyfriend had another egg dish that came with frijoles negros and they did not disappoint. We split one pancake between us and it was delightfully fluffy and sweet. If you’re in the area I highly recommend this place. Super clean and the service was prompt and friendly. It wasn’t super busy at around 10 am on a Saturday, but it quickly picked up as we were eating. I’m sorry I didn’t get to try any of the cocktails, but will definitely be coming back!! Victoria, the chef, can out and greeted customers and helped bus tables. She was super friendly and checked on us twice!
Seriously, a great place to check out!!

Don Julio Cafe is a fairly new restaurant to Downtown Skokie. It moved in where Euro Echo Cafe used to be, and it certainly doesn’t disappoint.

Since the opening, the menus have gone through three or four iterations and have gained more options as well. The food and atmosphere are phenomenal, and the service is always incredible!

I ordered the Tostadas sin Aguacate (no avocado) with a side of potatoes, and someone else ordered the American Breakfast. I also ordered a hot cocoa.

The restaurant was charming, bright, and clean. The food was delicious, including the chilaquiles pictured. It was a great experience all around, and was well suited for our children too! Our server approaches the table and immediately informed our kids that the pancakes are delicious and the bacon is crispy which made them ready to order comfortably and quickly. The pancakes are delicious, too! We’ll be back for sure.

Parking was easy with street options, and the outdoor patio had a cozy vibe with colorful umbrellas that really added to the atmosphere. The coffee, natural juices, and mimosas were nice, but the place was packed, which slowed down the service quite a bit. Unfortunately, the delay was frustrating since we didn’t get our food on time, and my steak was a bit overcooked, though the eggs were decent. Overall, the food was okay, but the slow service took away from the experience. It’s a fun spot, but I would recommend going on a quieter day.

This place is amazing! We came from brunch and not only all the food was absolutely amazing but the service was top notch, beyond friendly. We loved the chillaquiles, potatoes and crepes. Will be coming back!

We went to Don Julio Cafe for lunch today with our little one & dined al fresco. The Traditional Chapin 🍳🫘 & Nutella Banana Brioche Toast 🍞🍌 were ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Felt like a little escape in our downtown. Their staff was very kind & hospitable. Family friendly. Easy to park right around the corner. Hoping to sit outside again on their wonderful patio before the weather gets cooler. Highly recommend checking it out!
