We go here when we need dessert after eating out. Had the pie sampler where you choose 3 various pie slices to sample. Each one was very tasty and fresh. They also do great breakfast items and pot pies as well. Any time of day or night you will find something you like at Dollop.

This place has been recommended to me so many times but I never got around to going, until today. It's just fabulous. Everything looks so incredibly good, and customer feedback was that it meets that promise. I had the potato, rosemary, and goat cheese quiche, and it was so creamy and good. My friend had the spinach, mushroom, and Gruyere quiche, and I think I liked it even more than mine. Bought a bunch of pastries home to keep us happy over the next few days (including a lavender scone I'm so curious about).

Edit to say we just had the lavender scone. It was incredible. Not super floral, it just gives it this slightly sweet, almost aromatic taste, hinting at flowers. So glad I got it, just sad it was the last one they had so I only got the one.

I LOVE this place! Best pies in the city or suburbs (and probably the entire Chicago Metropolitan Area)! The chicken pot pie is amazing as well. The banana cream pie is absolutely delicious, as is the coconut cream pie. And the apple pie.... perfection.

But wait, that's not all: the staff is super great, super friendly, and super generous. I stopped by late in the evening, and was given two complimentary apple muffins just cuz!

2nd time here within 2 weeks and I gotta say this spot don't miss. Customer service is on point , baristas are very knowledgeable and the food is insane in a good way.

Decided to try the sage , apple and pork pie today and my God its extremely flavorful and filling.

I highly recommend giving them a try if you are in the area. I don't mind driving 45 minutes for these 🔥 pies and amazing coffee.

It's rare coffee shops have both good food and good coffee, to the owner I gotta say keep up the good work 👏

I've been visiting this place for years, and I love it more every time I come in. My boyfriend and I eat here at least once a week, and the evolving menu makes sure we get to change it up while still being able to indulge in our favorites! The staff is kind and go above and beyond in making sure your experience is comfy. The prices are not bad at all for fresh ingredients too, although I'd definitely be willing to pay more for the quality and variety of the pies. I always mention it when I tell people about Evanston and places they have to visit!

Stopped by to pick up a pre-bake savory pie for dinner. It was delightful 😋 Great atmosphere for coffee with friends, remote working, and eating delicious pastries. I’ve been to their Chicago location many times, pies are always a hit! - will definitely return to Evanston location next time I’m in the area.

Dollop packs a wallop! Excellent caffe latte, cortado and cappuccino, fantastic quiche, delightfully friendly staff. This is my go to place for artisan coffee and baked goods in Evanston. My wife ranks Backlot on Center Ave slightly higher but the quiche and pie at Dollop give it the edge for me. Dollop 16 oz latte is served very hot with 4 shots of espresso that stirs the morning senses with delicious aromas of roasted beans and frothy milk. A dash of half and half puts everything right for my taste buds. The ham, manchego, Brie and sweet potato quiche is heavenly - light, fluffy, savory and silky. Amongst the best I’ve tasted and that says a lot as I’m about to turn 61 and have lived and traveled internationally for decades. The interior is warm and cozy with delightful smells emanating from the co-located bakery. In the summer when I had previously visited, the outside tables created a European flair, inviting one to linger and enjoy a 2nd pastry (yep - I do enjoy my food). Pies can be purchased to-go so save your baking skills where they’ll produce better returns. The staff are ALL friendly, kind and happy which makes me want to return daily. Thankfully my DIL was just accepted at grad school close by so will have 2 more years to visit.
