The service and location are amazing! You can walk right into California Adventure + Downtown Disney. The entrance to Disneyland is a short walk. The food and service were very good. It's nice sitting in the lobby with the fire and music playing. We really enjoyed our stay. A bit expensive, obviously, but nice if you want the convenience.

Comfortable, clean rooms. Unbeatable location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lobby is amazing and grand, but still cozy. Room service was reasonably priced, good, and prompt.

Rooms aren’t as fancy as you might find other places, and the service occasionally missed or forgot something (though they were always quick and friendly while fixing it once alerted to an issue).

Of course those small deductions aren’t the reasons you’re staying here so it’s still an easy 5 star.

Our stay at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff, whether it was the parking crew, bell hop, front desk receptionist, cleaning crews, waiters or security went above and beyond to make our visit special, treating us with genuine warmth and Disney charm. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, making us feel like VIPs throughout our stay.

The hotel itself is stunning, with its breathtaking craftsman-style architecture and luxurious amenities. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, offering the perfect retreat after a day at the parks. The direct access to Disney California Adventure made everything so convenient, allowing us to maximize our time enjoying the magic.

This hotel is the most expensive out of the Disneyland resort options. The location is the best because you’re closest to the parks. You have the most luxurious amenities as well. The gym could be a bit bigger but has AMAZING machines inside. All Disney hotels are always EXTRA clean so there’s never any issue there. Valet is nice but expensive also. I love the theming for the hotel and all the little details they include. The only thing I knock a star off for is the price. It’s simply too expensive for small rooms.

Just stayed at the Grand Californian for the first time and it was very nice. The $1200/night cost for a small two queen room was quite a lot, but the hotel is really impressive. The room itself is honestly not really any different than a $300/night room across the street and maybe even a bit smaller. The staff is exceptional though and the room was serviced twice per day, they will valet your car ($70/night) and unload your bags and deliver them to your room. So the actual service was impeccable. The lobby and hotel itself is really remarkable. We went right after Christmas and were blown away by the size and detail of everything. I think the main reason to stay here would be the full service and the location. You can walk right through a tunnel into DCA or walk right out into Downtown Disney and walk 10 min to Disneyland. It was very convenient for coming back in the middle of the day to let the kids nap. So I was very happy with the stay, but am conflicted as to if it was worth the insane price. I think it's one of those things that I'll justify every few years, but I booked next year's stay for a good neighbor hotel right across the street for $300/night instead. Just for reference, 3 nights at the Grand Californian with parking and park tickets for 4 people was ~$6000. I just booked the Best Western across the street (actually slightly closer to the Disneyland entrance) for 5 days with park tickets for $3500.

It’s a fancy hotel and there is good service at the pool and front desk but here is my issue. We paid $800 a NIGHT and Disney is too greedy that they can’t give free parking? $40/day is highway robbery. You’d also expect an immaculate room but our drawers were definitely not cleaned. Disney is about the money and this hotel embodies it!

The pool area was nice as there are a few options, free water, towels, and poolside service. The lifeguards were very unfriendly to the kids so just be aware.

The room had everything we needed and you didn’t hear anything but sometimes hallway activity.

Best hotel ever! Best staff ever! Even the valet were so helpful when my cars undercarriage came off on the way in. Ron and Paul were so nice. I would stay here every trip if possible. My daughter loved it! They were also so accommodating for my autistic 5 yr old daughter .

Overall we love this hotel. Staying here really brings MORE Disney magic after (or before) a day at the parks. The location truly can’t be beat, it’s so convenient.

The ambiance of the lobby, the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms- all great. We love the Downtown Disney view!

The only thing that is a bit frustrating is the water temperature in the shower- cold showers both morning and night… I am surprised I haven’t seen more reviews about this as we have had this experience with two separate stays. It’s not a deal breaker, but would definitely like to take a warm-hot shower.
