Luckily, this is one of the few places that stay open in the Healy/Denali beyond the normal tourist season for dining. It is old and basic, but also clean, comfortable, and welcoming to all. We thought the sandwiches we ordered were good enough, and the fries seemed freshly hand-cut and could have been excellent, however it was all just tepid warm when it arrived. We also had to remind the waitress about drinks. I'd guess that the cook is pretty good, but that they either need more, or more energetic wait staff.

By far one of the best places we have stayed globally. It is absolutely beautiful and the views are amazing but what is the real kicker is melia who runs the home with nurturing care. She made blueberry scones for me, she organized a night bon fire with s’mores for our fam and suggested awesome hikes on our way to her and after we left. We will be back and she raised the bar for us on future places to go which I guess is a good and bad thing.

It’s a beautiful place with an excellent breakfast and amazing panoramic views. However, when we arrived after a long day I have never felt more unwelcome in all my years traveling. One in our group was scolded for leaving the building via the kitchen when the next day the manager told others it was ok. Another person who asked a question was told that if she had read the website she would have known that. Proper hospitality is when the guests feel comfortable, relaxed and important. That didn’t happen on our stay.

The Denali Overlook Inn was the perfect little cabin for my family and I. The views of Denali were incredible and the service was amazing. We were extremely pleased with the staff and felt very comfortable and taken care of. We were upgraded to the suite room and it was picture-perfect. It looked like it was straight out a storybook! If we ever travel back to Talkeetna, we will definitely book here again!

The Denali Overlook Inn is fabulous. I wish we could have stayed longer. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect - close to Talkeetna downtown and a few hours from Denali. Maleia, our host, was a doll - and we sincerely appreciated how kind and thoughtful she was. My son said he’d like to come back to Alaska, but only if we stay at the Denali Overlook Inn. ❤️?

This inn is absolutely stunning! It offers amazing views of the mountains in a quiet and cozy location. It is located close to downtown Talkeetna along with many hiking trails. Maleia was an excellent host by giving us recommendations for the area and ensuring that our trip went smoothly. Highly recommend this inn if you are looking to visit the area!

Hidden gem in the mountains with the most stunning view we’ve ever seen. Winding rivers and the Denali mountain range are the highlights of the spectacular view. Maleia our host was welcoming, energetic and full of amazing history and local information. She cooked an amazing breakfast worth the price. ||The cabin itself is spacious spanning 4 floors filled with photos, plants and art! The cabin was originally owned by a professional photographer. It’s got plenty of things to do for the kids with puzzles and games or musical instruments with a piano or guitar for folks to play. ||They offer complementary bakes fresh cookies, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. ||Like any other place in the mountains pictures don’t do it justice. ||Highly Recommended!

Our stay at the Denali Overlook Inn was great! The views of Denali and surrounding area can't be best. Maleia was a great host and cook. Her breakfasts were amazing! She was very nice and wanted to ensure our trip was the best that it possibly could be. We will definitely come back!
