I'll be honest, I had very low expectations but this pleasant hard working family pleasantly surprised me. I have friends that live in Southside and this motel is only a few doors away which was very convenient. Would use their services again.

WARNING: THEY MIGHT STEAL YOUR STUFF!. The owner and some Mexican workers that he had working moved my things from my room to my tow trailer (landscape trailer) while I was away on some business. When I returned the following day, I expected my belongings to be in the room and I would have gladly paid for another day as well. However, the owner had his workers move my things onto my trailer. However, a lot of MY STUFF WAS STOLEN. I had a television, JBL shower speaker, brand new Columbia jacket that was given to me as a special gift by a loved one just the day before, rechargeable flashlights, lots of designer clothes, Hardly anyone around during my stay so I do not believe the items were stolen from my trailer. They never made it onto my trailer. I am upset over it all, but especially the Columbia jacket and TV. Those have sentimental value & can't be replaced. Someone destroyed my travel safe that had my heart medicine in it. The thieves, stole a bunch of other things too. The owner refused to look at the security camera. Someone took a dump in the tub while I was away. The owner said my buddy or I did it. Not true! Then called his friends at the local police to say it was I. They believed him because he allegedly makes donations to the local police department. I did NOT defecate in a bathtub, and I would not do such a thing and nobody I know did such a thing. He did it to feel justified in stealing my property. I have just lost my home, I am homeless, on Disability, poor, and I'm desperate need of help bc I only have an elderly mom to help and she's not rich either. And this person, motel owner scum, steals many of my things including my one and only TV. I don't have much and what I have is usually old. But he stole my things anyway.
DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY if you do, YOU'RE SUPPORTING DISHONEST and EVIL PEOPLE. The owner's wife is even worse! She's so rude and unfriendly. They knock on your door 30 minutes early to get out or pay for another day. No motel does that! They don't clean the rooms, they don't give you garbage bags, they don't bring you towels, and the rooms stink. But WORST OF ALL, THEY Go #2 in your tub then blame you then STEAL YOUR BELONGINGS then act dumb. I normally would have

Deerfield Inn is a great place to be. The owner Vic is very kind. It has a friendly atmosphere, family owned and very clean. A great place to be, extremely peaceful! Would definitely recommend!

We paid $85 plus the extra $25 for a pet friendly room, we got a smelly smoking room (with a towels [see picture], which I found out was a cleaning rag). Room stank, mattresses sub par. I advise staying closer to I 59 Rainbow City exit. Positive comment for the "2" rating was a relatively quiet location. Did I mention the room Stank!

This place was convenient, but not a good choice. The room was so-so, and I could have lived with that; but wifi did not work, which is a biggie for me. I also found two bugs in the room (not roaches). Icing on the cake, the ice machine did not work. I had specifically asked where the ice machine was and the woman told me its location; she just neglected to mention that it didn't work.||||All in all, I would suggest going elsewhere.

Its me and my dad's second time staying here. We stayed back in April and the owner said they just opened a few months back... Yes, the rooms are outdated, they're but very clean. They had picture tube TVs back in April but they finally replaced them with flat screen HD TVs, which made our current stay wayyyy better than the last time :)... The owners are nice as well! We will be coming back for sure, and we'd be looking forward for more upgrades..

My car broke down today and I ended up in this parking lot. A man named Vick who is the owner of Deer Field Inn came out and offered his assistance. He provided all the tools I need to get my car where it needed to be. He did not hesitate to get me in the road again. An owner who truly cares about the people who not only stay at his Inn but end up on his property with a need is not easy to come by these days. You shouldn't even consider another place to stay if you're in the area. Deerfield Inn is the only place worth your money.

Stopped here for the night on the way to Gadsden for The Longest Yard sale. Accommodations were adequate. The room was clean and and comfortable.
