I recently visited Deerfield Restaurant in Silvis, Illinois, and overall had a decent experience. The food is pretty good. I would definitely recommend trying the breakfast options, as they’re well-prepared. The chicken tenders are definitely a highlight. However, I’d advise against ordering the steak and eggs; I’ve ordered a few times and sadly haven’t met expectations.

The atmosphere is a bit dated, with a small-town diner vibe that might not be for everyone. It’s not terrible, but it could use some updating. The prices are a little on the higher side, but still reasonable for what you get.

Overall, I’d give it 3.5/5 stars. A solid choice for breakfast or a casual meal, but just keep in mind the atmosphere and skip the steak and eggs.

Food:

I ordered an 8 0z. Angus steak medium rare with a salad and mashed potatoes. The salad was brought out immediately after ordering. The salad itself was a good size and included lettuce, tomatoes, and onion with your choice of dressing. It tasted good.

Then after about a 5 minutes wait my steak and mashed potatoes were brought out. The steak was covered in onions and resting in juice. The steak was all right, not well seasoned but it was medium rare. The onions were caramelized and tasted good. The mashed potatoes had a sort of rubbery and thick texture. They tasted fine but the texture was off and they definitely are not home made. I paid 20.24 for the meal and a pepsi.

Overall: I give the food a 3/5.

Service: I was greeted at the door by a young man who asked my party size and where i would like to sit. The waitress came over immediately and was friendly. I have no issues with service as it was a nice environment.

I give the service 5/5 stars.

Atmosphere: The restaurant is right off of I-80 next to a gas station and two hotels. It looks nice outside and inside. It has a clean and well decorated interior.

I give the atmosphere 5/5 stars.

Very clean and friendly restaurant. The staff greeted me with friendly smiles as soon as I walked inside. Every staff member was kind, from the young man at the door, the wait staff, and back to the cooks in the kitchen. I watch them all as I sat at the bartop ordering my dinner to go, that is how I know. Being kind to your customers goes a long way!! Thank you Skylar for your kindness and waiting on me, as you provided everything I asked you for with a smile.
I sent my Husband back to Deerfield the next night for us another to go meal and he received the same kindness.
We enjoyed our meals..

Great place. Coffee cup never empty. Fish was great. I work out of E.Moline...Had to stay in motel next door.

The food tasted good, the server was really nice, and the place was really homey and cozy. The ambiance felt like I was in another place and on vacation for some reason, I love it! Especially right now that we aren’t traveling as much. We wanted to eat the spaghetti but there’s always next time. If you want a hearty breakfast, go here. We will definitely go back! 💖

Excellent place to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. Never disappointed with our order. Carried out numerous times and each time plenty of ketchup and related items were included. Highly recommended.

Been here many times over the years. They are always nice, polite and efficient. Food is very good and prices aren't outrageous. Very large menue to choose from.
