What a great resort on the IL Chain o Lake's. The owner, Amanda is awesome, we were hanging at the beach our first night when out of the blue, here comes Amanda in a golf cart with a fire ring & 3 bundles of firewood. The cottages are cozy and inviting with a short walk to the beach. But beware of the stairs with the young, elderly and disabled.

Very cozy and quaint atmosphere. Owner and manager are easy to work with and very accommodating. We stayed in the Old Farm House with the apartment upstairs. Very clean! Little touches of extras that make a difference. Highly recommend!

I searched for public boat launches in the Chain O’Lakes and stumbled across Cypress Marina and Resort. I researched the location and decided to book a weekend day with family. Our young daughter was so excited to go to the beach and go out on our waverunner. When we arrived (super early) we were greeted by Amanda (owner) who was such a charm. Amanda was very welcoming to our family. The resort property is a hidden gem. The property is a perfect location for family’s with children to enjoy summer days. There was so much to do for the kids to stay entertained. This was our first time here and definitely will not be our last. Also, the prices to enjoy this beautiful property were extremely cheap.

This place is really, really great. The owner is so friendly and helpful and really provides an amazing experience. There are so many options and things to do while just hanging out on the lake. We paddle boarded, tanned and laid in the rafts on the water. It’s so close to chicago but feels like a different world and vibe. I definitely will be coming back here.

We had a wonderful 4 nights celebrating the New Year in the Old Lake House. We also rented The Apartment upstairs, which was adorable, for my daughter, son-in-law and their baby daughter. It was perfect! The rest of the family was in the main house which was very clean, cozy and charming. We played games at the big kitchen table and enjoyed the warm fireplace (thank you for the firewood!)

The owner Amanda is friendly and generous. We enjoyed talking to her about the history of the resort and the surrounding area. Angela, the cottage manager, was very accomodating and quickly responded to all our communications both during the booking process and after check-in. Great customer service! We will definitely be back and would recommend everyone to stay, even in the off season.

Great cottages at the chain o lakes, beatifully decorated, impecably clean. Amanda the owner is super nice, it clearly shows all the hard work she put into it. Worth to visit , a short drive from Chicago. What else can you ask for, you launch your boat here, relax in the longers at the beach, barbecue and fires by the lake at night.

Cypress Resort & Marine is an absolute gem of a resort with tons of charm, the most amazing beach, all the amenities you could ask for, and a top notch staff. Amanda is an incredible host and her property is truly second to none!

Cutest. Cottage. Ever. Even though I have family in the area, we needed a little extra space when we had visitors from out of town so we booked one of the rentals. It was adorable, comfortable, and the resort area was beautifully surrounded by nature. The view of the lake through the trees in the morning sun was breathtaking! Check in and out was super easy and the owners were accommodating and easy to communicate with when we had questions. It was a staycation I won't forget, and I would love to do it again. Book it- you won't regret it!
