If you love farms, barns and history, comfort and a great breakfast? Stay here. The hosts were so kind and friendly and loved showing us their barn collection. My sister and I considered it one of our best stays during a month long trip across the US. We learned a lot about cupolas and I took some wonderfully pictures. |We highly recommend this quaint retreat from noise and stress. Just friendly and clean.

The Cupola Inn celebrated its 25th anniversary the beginning of October. Great place, great couple, and great history! Their four daughters helped them make the place. Judy is a retired baker who makes great breakfasts! The husband, Dale, with some help from his two brothers, built the round barn with stone from a salvaged barn. The interior picture of the roof is gorgeous. I have a video of the inside with the hundreds of collectibles added over the years, but have not figured out how to download a 35 Meg video.|$79 a night instead of $99. |Will definitely go back and take advantage of canoeing or kayaking: the river runs along one border of the property.

Dale and Judy were accommodating and friendly! Location was good based on our needs and we had a wonderful stay. The food was fantastic and Just was willing and very capable to accommodate my need for a gluten free meal. That being said, she offered AMAZING gf blueberry pancakes and an out of this world cherry coffee cake! Frankly, I haven't had many gf meals as tasty as those when out and about!

Check out the "eye-max" barn! It's a very neat view and fun to walk through. Dale has you enjoying barns to a point that you didn't know would could! We also loved seeing the cats and giving the ones that were willing to come over little pets.

We were told the story of the big rock out front. Ask Dale to tell you the story! It's really neat and with the discussion!

The only item we saw that might be discouraging to some would be the musk smell in the he room. There was a dehumidifier in there to help and we had no issues with it but knew it might be something others would want to be aware of.

I had no complaints during our visit and was very happy with our stay and, dare I say it, you would feel the same way!

We had a wonderful vacation here at the inn. Our hosts were so attentive and friendly. I loved the flower gardens and calming atmosphere. The round small barn was perfect for playing cards and then enjoying a delicious breakfast the next morning. In the evening we enjoyed a bonfire. Guests should be aware it is on gravel road and there is no internet service or cable tv provided. Our cell phones had limited service as did the basic small tv in room. But we enjoyed it so much we didn’t miss either (too much!)

Nice, clean B&B with lots of character. We enjoyed meeting Dale & Judy, seeing the flowers in their garden and barn art. Dale also has some more unique barn buildings and stories. We also loved walking down by the river. Next time we hope to have time to go canoeing.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend while we were visiting my family. We really had a great time and the food provided to us in the Cupola Inn B&B was amazing! Judy made sure that we had everything that we needed during our stay. The décor in the Roost room reminded me of my life growing up on a farm. ||||Dale is a gracious host who is very knowledgeable about the area. He even writes articles for the local newspaper. We discovered for ourselves this fascinating property, and we wish we could have explored it more had we had more time and better weather! It was pretty cold for late April when we visited northern Iowa, but the B&B was wonderfully warm, clean, and cozy. We specially enjoyed the hot jet tub.

What an amazing place! We stayed just one night, but are planning another trip back to the little piece of heaven. Sweet, relaxing, and just what we needed to get away. Breakfast was devine and the views are beyond compare. Dale and Judy are THE BEST! You may come as a visitor, but you leave as family.

Beautiful outdoorsy experience. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Dale is a river rat and has a fleet of canoes to take you on a river tour. Breakfast is always delicious. Great value. All sorts of cool antiques and history to be explored at the B&B. Many cool stories to be heard!
