My elderly mom and I stayed a week at Creekside in the Iris suite and found it to be exactly what we were looking for. Our room had a balcony that looked over the pool and redwood trees. It was very quiet and peaceful at all hours of the day, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The Inn embodies the Russian River with its relaxed atmosphere. We highly recommend it and look forward to staying there again.

Overall a good stay (easy check-in and out, and one of the few family friendly places in the area) despite some concerns. It's an easy walk to the beach over a pedestrian bridge.

We were traveling with an infant and we were told we must stay at the "osprey's nest" due to fire department regulations and the fact that infants have a lot of gear and would be too much to put in a regular room that would be okay for children but not infants.(We have all his things in a small room at home and manage just fine so it felt really silly but we obliged. Not to mention , some parents cosleep so this wouldn't be a real argument for booking this room for those people). The osprey's nest had a kitchen, living room space, bathroom with tub, a large bedroom with space to put a travel crib, a small balcony overlooking the road and a coin operated laundry in the unit. I expressed concern about being in the cabin right next to the road but they said that the road isn't a main road and is very quiet. The road ended up being pretty noisy, but our baby liked watching all the cars while awake so that part was okay.

The part that I was pretty upset with is the fact that this is one of the few units with no AC. Guernville got to about 100 that weekend, and we thought we turned on the AC to get it cool by the time we returned from a quick outing - we got back to a stifling hot cabin. Turns out even though there looks to be a cooling/heating unit with a dial that says cool and heat, it is not functional and we were just blowing hot air into the place by fan. We called to ask about it, hoping for a repair but we were told our unit doesn't have ac/it doesn't work and that we should go to the pool to cool off. It was bedtime for our baby and he was super cranky and clearly overheated and it wasn't really a real option for us (did cool baths and diaper only instead). We opened all the windows overnight and managed to keep the place about 80 degrees the next day which was much more comfortable but still not at all how we envisioned a weekend getaway.

Anyway, if traveling with an infant please ensure you have AC in the summer months here. It was truly a bit scary at times, even as an adult it was pretty uncomfortable. Hopefully the inn will repair the unit AC so that it's safer for an infant to stay in this cabin.

The management treats the house cleaner horribly! The lady that cleans the rooms is a real light and deserves to be treated much better. It’s criminal in my opinion!!

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. Clean, accommodating, and friendly would be some key words that stick out. The cabins are modernized but rustic, the gardens are free to grow but tame in their own way, the staff are courteous, down to earth, and do their best to make your stay worthwhile. This is not a luxury resort and it does not try to or want to be. This is a place for the type of person where nature and natural beauty hold more importance to a guest than luxury. The cabins have well equipped kitchens, cable, wifi, and plenty of other creature comforts. They sit about 15 feet in the air so you are up in the trees. I was able to enjoy my morning coffee on the cabins porch with the birds. Our dogs had a great time as well. We look forward to future stays here. Thank you for everything.

Great place to stay. Owners are very nice and helpful. Grounds clean and room. We stayed in the osprey suite and it had a kitchen which was nice. Pool was closed when we were there, but hot tub wasn't. They also have a ping pong table which we really wanted to use, but couldn't because it was just to cold and rainy. (It is covered though) oh, all the rooms are raised up about 12 feet off the ground! If the area floods you'll be safe and sound!
