If you're looking to camp in the mountains on a holiday weekend and you hate crowds, then this is the spot. Super chill, no cell reception, great camp host, and you're not on top of your camp neighbor. They even had first come first serve spots still open on memorial day weekend. I definitely will be back In the future.

Beautiful RV campsite below rugged mountains and Lower Twin Lakes. Less trees than the campsite next to the river, but No bugs. RV sites have no hookups, no shower's at the site, however coin shower's are 4 minutes away. Twin Lakes Resort has boats and a great general store nearby. Water was only 7' below normal, fishing only. Upper lake was full.

One of 6 USFS campgrounds at the Twin Lakes area. Although Crags doesn't have a lot of shade, the camp spots have bigger separation than the other campgrounds so more quiet and peaceful than the other campgrounds. Open area also allows for good satellite TV reception. Two toilets serve campground; one contains pit toilets, the other are flush toilets. Campground very close (1-2 minute drive) to Twin Lakes Resort Store/Office/Marina which has free wifi. AT&T cell service works in campground; Verizon does not work.

Great campground, well maintained and managed. I didn't have exact dollar amount when I checked-in so I over paid, the next day the camp host brought me my over payment. Honesty, you don't see a lot of that these days.

Least buggy of Twin Lake campsites; good access to creek & lanes. Spacious sites, little shade but great stargazing. Tidy & kind/attentive camp hosts. A winner!

Not many sites have shade; but lots of nice flat camping pads, very clean and well maintained. Very quiet with great night time views. Very close to the Twin Lakes without the crowded conditions and uneven site pads of theLower Twin Lakes campground

The views at this campground is beyond amazing (I’d give the views a 6!) We loved seeing the snow capped mountains from our site. The generator policy has to change though. We were in a tent trailer with solar panels and came to Crags to enjoy nature. Some of our neighbors had their generators going for HOURS. When we walked by, they’d be in there watching TV! It was so inconsiderate to disturb this peaceful place for everyone around them, so they could act like they’re at home. Our one neighbor had his generator on until after 9pm and then the next morning again from 7-9:30am. So uncalled for. When I went to check generator hours, this camp is 6am-10pm! I’ve never seen such horrible generator hours. I’d suggest these generator people to stay home where they can watch TV all day and not bother anyone. I would also hope that WESTrek Services (who is in charge of this federal land park) change there generator hours, so that everyone can enjoy this lovely spot.

Crags Campground was delightful in early September, 2018. We had a no reservation campsite with breathtaking view and lots of space. Kayaked at the other end of upper Twin Lakes, meandering along a marshy bank with little sandy beaches here and there to get out and take a skinny dip.
