Review:

I recently stayed at this Courtyard and found it to be a mixed experience. On the positive side, the rooms and beds were clean, and the hotel itself was well-maintained. The food was also great, which was a highlight of the stay.

However, there were several downsides. The shower in our room didn’t close properly, and it wasn’t very clean or well-maintained. Additionally, a staff member at the bistro kept recommending a steak that wasn’t listed on the menu. We ended up ordering it, and while it was tasty, we were shocked to see it cost $50 for one steak and a side of fries. That was on us for not asking the price, but it still felt excessive.

If you’re booking a room, avoid the west side of the hotel unless you’re a heavy sleeper — the noise from the 101 is constant, and motorcycles, cars, and trucks with loud exhausts will likely wake you up throughout the night. Windows are single pane so you hear everything. Our room was also right next to the elevators, so we frequently heard guests coming and going at all hours. We requested a room change but were told the hotel was fully booked. Internet TV in the rooms is slow and constantly cut out or froze so we just used our phones to watch movies.

To top it off, the Jacuzzi was out of order, which was disappointing.

Overall, Courtyards are usually a solid choice, but this one felt underwhelming. Given the price and the issues we encountered, I don’t think I’d stay here again.

I am a marriott groupie. I only stay in marriotts because they generally meet my expectations. This one did not. The staff were all friendly and while I only gave 3 stars for service I think that the staff had an control over the service.
First ,the overall the communication between reservation/front desk and house keeping are terrible. im a rewards member and I requested on the reservation a pack and play for my one year old and extra foam pillows. Neither were given to us. I had feather pillows. We waited an hour for the pack and play to be delivered to the room. We requested late check out at 2 pm and she put it down in the computer. The housekeeper knocked on our door at 9am. She said it wasn't noted we have late checkout. Thank goodness the baby wasn't napping. The staff and housekeeping were very friendly though.
Second, the breakfast add on was terrible. We paid an extra $20 since breakfast wasn't complimentary. We had to go to the front desk and ask for vouchers because the bistro didnt know what I was talking about. The complimentary water was empty but they gave us bottles of water. Half of the menu options we had to choose from for the voucher were not available. There were only like 6 options to begin with. We bought Starbucks coffee but the person making it had no idea how, clearly.
Third, the accommodations were not marriott standard. We decided not to shower because the floor while it looked " cleaned" it was disgusting.even the bathroom floor tile didnt look much better. The tv is small and you cant view from your room.
Fourth, the location is terrible. The traffic is horrible and you could barely get into the hotel bc the road was lined with semi trucks. The grounds looked out dated and the big dirt yard in front filled with semis made it feel like I was at a truck stop.
I cant believe this is what $180 gave me. Would have been better off at a motel 6.

This is my third stay at the courtyard and I truly love this hotel over the other Marriott’s in the area. The staff are friendly, kind, competent and the kind of people I feel thankful Marriott employs. I have been recognized as an elite member every single time! All other Marriott’s, only 2, didn’t notice and when I said something, they got kinda rude. This is the opposite! This hotel embody the Marriott guarantee of comfort, relaxation and only once I had an issue with WiFi that they were prompt in helping. I have never had any other issues, only peaceful blissful sleep in heavenly beds with the cleanest air and perfect temperatures of a/c, water (it gets hot and I like a hot shower!) yessss! They provide all your essentials as usual. They even have a free breakfast! This place is the best! There is a bar located conveniently next to the lobby and a little restaurant. Super cute. Their work out room looks sweet, but I haven’t checked it out yet. Maybe my next stay. What else
I could rave about how easy it was to check in early! I checked in at 2 expecting to wait until 3. What service! This is not my first experience here and the first time I stayed with my brother after a very long trip and we slept like babies! He said when he comes back he’s staying here! đŸ„ł It’s conveniently located close to the freeway and a short drive to tons of restaurants and pretty much anything you need. Oh! They have bathtubs! Not all the Marriott’s have this feature and I love a bubble bath! Thank you for the gorgeous decor, clean room and excellent service. This is by far the superior Marriott in the area. Comparing with tolleson Fairfield and Goodyears Marriott. I plan to try one more just to make sure, but I’m pretty sure you can’t beat this not just luxury stay, but it was lesser priced than the others! I don’t know why, this one is much nicer and newer it seems. Oh, I just love how quiet it is! I can’t hear my neighbors or anyone above me, it’s so peaceful. This is bliss! Thank you Marriott for proving you go above and beyond! If I knew the young lady’s name at the front desk I would praise her. Maybe I will find out before I leave, she has checked me in twice and is an absolute doll and pleasure to encounter. 🙌🙏

After reading the reviews, I booked apprehensively for the hot tub & “stay for breakfast” rate. The rooms are fine, nothing to write home about. The pull out sofas are *very* firm - be prepared for that!

I booked the “stay for breakfast” rate. This meant breakfast for 2 adults & children in the room was included. We headed to the bistro, I asked the staff what we should expect and she looked at me as though I was asking her to build a spaceship. Completely dumbfounded.

I’m assuming this act, usually ends with families buying $100 worth of reheated breakfast foods.

I walked away, pulled up my email, went to the front desk and asked what I’m supposed to do with the “stay for breakfast” rate. She also acted surprised, pulled up our reservation, and again made me feel as though I was making this up. She asked me who I booked through (why is this relevant? I booked through the hotels site, btw), finally handing over coupons for
.”breakfast” at the bistro.

Magically 8 minutes later the same employee who had no idea what I was talking about, knew exactly what type of breakfast we were talking about and served it promptly.

Because I read reviews prior to coming I knew this was rehearsed scammy behavior. IF you book the “stay for breakfast rate” - it’s absolutely worth it to cash in on! BUT

**don’t let them gaslight you into thinking it doesn’t exist!**

Hopefully this review will change how they handle distribution of the breakfast cards. 🙂

Overall? I’d pick this hotel over the opponent in the parking lot for the balcony room, the breakfast rate if they make it honest - and hot tub. The pool is also larger.

But the staff trying to scam - come on. Treat people better than that, or don’t work in customer service.

I’m bummed out for all the people who pay extra for this room, then don’t get the breakfast because they are scared to advocate for themselves!

We are Marriott regulars going on 40 years - but this stay was largely disappointing. We were greeted warmly by staff, which was honestly the best part of our stay. On first glance, the rooms were visually impressive: good-sized, and with a clean appearance. However, there was overuse of chemicals throughout this hotel (think: heavy bleach smell throughout property, and overpowering febreze-type product sprayed on bed linens, to include pillows); WiFi was broken (IT tech husband discovered SSL Certificate was expired); no microwaves in rooms (haven't seen that in at least 15 years, and I suppose a way to essentially force guests to order from the hotel's overpriced "bistro" downstairs); and bits of trash / cigarette butts strewn all over hotel exterior. Again, lovely staff but for the above reasons, we won't be returning to this location.

Never had an issue before at a courtyard, but this location needs some help. Our room was barely cleaned, still food on the floor. Bathroom floors was still dirty. Made it to our room at 9pm. Around 10p a group of men starting gathering in the hallway talking very loud. Which only continued through the night, so i decided to call the front desk because one of them thought it would be funny to try and open our door. Security was called twice and they finally made it out of the hall into their rooms. Lucky for us, the room next door was one of theirs. Now we got to listen to them talk, sing, play guitar, and slam the toilet seat down every so often. The front desk just kept saying security is on their way, but that didnt seem to help. Between the noise from neighbors and nearby freeways, there was no sleeping that night. Won't be staying here again.

This stay is as one of my worst. I typically stay at courtyards for work and have no idea what’s going on here. Front counter staff looks and acts like she is on drugs. She was using foul language and talking about how she couldn’t wait to get off. You couldn’t even understand her because she was speaking quickly and slurring speech. Waited about 20 min before before the bistro staff crawled out of the back where another guest had to go get her from the back while watching a show. The four customers waiting to order were all tired of waiting. This is ridiculous. Not to mention the pricing for this place.

Do not stay if you have a choice. The staff is very unprofessional. Your not getting the stay you want for the price your paying

Great location. Right by the freeway. Customer service was great. Rooms were nice and clean. The beds were comfy. Big pool with a big jacuzzi. They have a really nice back patio.
