We had a wonderful stay at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Galena. The hotel was clean, well-kept, and offered great amenities. The hot tub and pool were perfect for relaxation after a day of exploring. The breakfast had something for everyone, which was a nice touch. The gentlemen and young lady at the front desk were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location was also ideal, making it easy to experience all that Galena has to offer. Highly recommend!

This hotel is the perfect little family getaway! Cool slide and huge pool for older kiddos, gated in baby pool area, hot tub area for adults. Far enough away from Dubuque to feel out of the big city but right next to delicious food (Culver’s) and a Walmart for emergency like midnight toddler milk run. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Game room was awesome. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. 20/5

Very disappointing breakfast. Room was clean. Decently quiet.

When looking for a hotel with my son, we always look for free breakfast as he loves eggs and sausage! This hotel had a terrible breakfast. We always get there early so things are fresh. We went down at 6:15am.. at that point the eggs were in a warmer with at least 1” of standing water.. yuck. The sausage already looked like it had been in the warmer all day. The fruit looked like it had been thrown against the wall many times before being put out. The juice cups were the size of shot glasses.. My son asked if we could go out for breakfast instead. We packed our things and left. Will definitely be finding a different place to stay next time we visit Galena.

During the evening hours, the hotel is full of happy children sounds. By 9:30 - 10:00, the place is incredibly quiet. We used the pool at 6:00 - 7:00 am, and had the entire pool / hottub / slide to ourselves. Breakfast was good and the staff were all helpful.

Very nice property. Staff was pleasant from the moment we arrived until we checked out. All the common areas and our room were clean and well lit. The included breakfast was a notch above what I seem to find in most hotels these days, and always had urns of hot coffee available in the lobby. Whirlpool in the room was a little awkward as it was built into a little alcove in the wall, but not a problem. Would stay again.

We had a great experience over the weekend. I mistakenly booked for the wrong night, but the staff did everything they could to make sure I didn't have to pay twice for my mistake. Sam was great. Upon check-in, there were a lot of families checking in, and the phone kept ringing with new guests. He and (apologies I didn't catch the name of the other woman working) were fantastic at navigating the chaos and still kept a high level of service.

There are quite hours for a reason. Sound travels in that place. We had a suite at the top of the stairs. Right below was the pool and the common area. And noise carried! The TV in the room was small. The hair handler wasn't on. We were hot one night and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. Finally found the on switch. The mattress and pillows were super soft. Too much so. Staff was friendly. Continental breakfast was ok. Lots of options, but nothing wonderful. The suite was a good size with a couch and Jacuzzi tub, fireplace and ceiling fan. View was not great but would be pretty in another season. Convenient location.

Wow, we really love this hotel! Comfortable bed, great shower, strong wifi, great pool area with large hot tub and a pool tube slide for the kids. It even has a game room! We also noticed that it was handicap friendly, with an elevator. Great hot breakfast with a nice variety of choices. Everything about the hotel was just right, and we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!
