Beds are very firm, so if you like that, you will probably like these rooms. I like a mattress at least a little softer, so I did not get a good night's sleep. Weirdly, the seat on the toilet was smaller than it should have been for that toilet, but it didn't make the toilet unusable, just a little cold. Cleanliness was good, and the TV was huge. Breakfast was also good, but we made sure we got there when it started at 6:30. Not sure what our experience would have been if we'd waited until closer to the time breakfast closed for the day. Only three stars for service because we had to call to get someone to come to the desk when we got there, and there was no one at the desk the next morning when we were checking out, either. I've never stayed in a hotel before where there wasn't someone always present at the front desk. The area where the hotel is located seems safe, but I would have preferred visible security at the main entrance, at least.

Perfect spot to land after our late flight back to St. Louis. We just needed a night’s rest before the last leg of our trip home to Central Illinois. The room was clean and quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the staff was friendly.||We didn’t take advantage of the breakfast, as everyone wanted to sleep in, but I appreciated that it was an option. The coffee was quite good. Much better than your average hotel chain.||We noticed as we checked in that the hotel is veteran-owned and clearly a lot of love has been put into the property. My wife’s parents run a small AirBnB (her dad was also in the military) and the vibe is similar. Our kids agreed that “this is what it would look like if grandma and grandpa owned a hotel.”||We would absolutely stay here again and we wish the owners continued success.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was clean and homey feeling. The breakfast was awesome. Becky went out of her way to take care of us. She helped me by carrying a food tray back to my room. I also observed her make some plain waffle batter for some children that didn't want the strawberry ones being served. Becky is a true asset to this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel!!! Thank you Becky!!!

Wonderful boutique hotel without the high prices! Excellent, friendly staff. Quiet, comfortable rooms. Lovely, quick breakfast. It is everything you want in a hotel. The location is excellent for the St. Louis and Metro-East area. There are terrific restaurants nearby - would highly recommend Doc’s BBQ and Sugo’s Spaghetteria

No hassle on check-in, though I had three rooms reserved and they didn't realize that one was reserved with a different last name. No problem though. Seemed odd that they had us each on a separate floor. The hair dryer in my daughter's room did not work, but they provided her with a portable one when she came down to the front desk with wet hair. Food was good, but I wish that skim milk was available. My bed seemed rather hard and the pillows were too big and lumpy. This is a very convenient location, but I'm glad we only needed to stay one night. Wifi was difficult to connect to - pure directions at desk and contradictory (incorrect) directions in the room.

First time staying at this hotel. Everything was great. The best pillows, I wanted to steal a couple. Really soft blankets and sheets, beds firm. Shower super hot. Breakfast had a really nice variety of items. Will definitely stay here again, if Angela's outta town.

Impeccably clean, comfortable beds, a truly homey experience! Great service as well—the pride of family ownership shines! I stayed for a weekend swim meet at nearby Chuck Fruit Aquatic Center, as I have done every year since I discovered this jewel!

Convenient location near SIUE campus, very clean, everything needed was in the room, friendly staff, inexpensive, and an excellent free breakfast. We loved that it was family and locally owned. Will definitely stay again, very happy to support a small business!
