This place is absolutely a hidden gem! The House Chai was amazing and the fresh bagel breakfast sandwich was to die for! You won’t be disappointed if you go here. The only con I can think of is the parking area is very small. So you will probably have to park on the street a walk a little bit. But the walk is worth it!

I am from Mexico but when I come to visit my family in Melrose I always try to visit this site. Atmosphere is very kind and welcoming, food is good and coffee is good too! A lot of options, flavors and mixes. Today I waited longer than usual and a nice staff gave me this card <3 i will be there tomorrow again!

Stopped here on my last day in town on the way to the airport and DAMN! It was super busy, the team behind the bar was crushing it, food and coffee came out fast enough that I had time to sit on their lovely patio and eat. The rosemary bagel is 🔥love this place big time!!

Super convenient drive thru coffee, food and snacks. Ordered the rosemary asiago bagel sandwich with veggies inside and it was amazing. Tried the zucchini bread and a raspberry chocolate muffin. Everything was delicious and super cool vibes inside.

Best breakfast sandwich!!! And the cinnamon rolls are the perfect level of chewy and firm with frosty frosting that has the perfect sweetness. I’ve found a new favorite coffee shop. Plenty of parking on street and in a parking lot. Staff is super friendly. Oh and not forget to mention, they make their own bagels!!! OMG. Captain has added to favorites.

Visited Copper Star for the first time this morning and literally everything was phenomenal. The service was great, I ordered the Eva bagel with cream cheese and an iced house chai - then she gave me a white chocolate blackberry muffin! I’m so impressed with the food and the chai actually tastes strongly like chai (at some places, it may as well be milk with a chai essence). The price was reasonable & the place itself is super cute. I love the drive through option. I will be back!

The coffee here is absolutely incredible—I got the frozen vanilla coffee, and it was hands down the best frozen coffee drink I have ever had. Seriously, it is worth the trip just for the coffee alone. Smooth, flavorful, perfectly sweet—nothing compares. If you’re a coffee lover, this will probably be the best frozen coffee you’ve ever had. The cookie was also amazing—soft, fresh, and full of flavor.

But the bagels? Completely disgusting and not edible. They were soggy, not toasted, and smothered in an insanely thick layer of cream cheese that made it worse. The egg sandwich was even more concerning—the eggs and meat seemed undercooked, which felt like a serious food safety issue. It tasted raw and just wrong.

Definitely come here for the coffee and cookies—they’re worth it. But stay far away from the food.

My new favorite spot for breakfast & coffee! I’ve had several friends suggest Copper Star and I finally had a chance to check it out last week. I’ve been twice now and both times I had one of my daughters with me. The customer service is just as amazing as the food & coffee! Get the bodega bagel it’s the best. I’ll be a regular now for sure!
