From the moment I walked in, I could tell Comfort Inn & Suites lives up to its name. The entire place was spotless and had the most refreshing scent throughout the halls—it immediately set the tone for a relaxing stay.

The rooms were impressively spacious, with plenty of space to dine, lounge, or just unwind. Having a refrigerator and microwave in the room was a huge bonus, making it easy to save and reheat food during my stay.

The highlight of my visit was definitely the breakfast. They offered a wide selection—fresh fruits, vegetables, oatmeal, waffles, eggs, bagels—whatever your go-to morning favorite is, you’ll likely find it here. It was the perfect start to each day.

The staff was nothing short of excellent—friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. I’m seriously considering becoming a member just to take advantage of the exclusive perks, because this was one of the most needed and appreciated experiences I’ve had in a while.

Location made it easy to drive to. Our late arrival was not an issue, but snow covered parking areas required careful walking. Room with a king bed was nice but very warm upon arrival. Turned thermostat down from 69 to 64 to feel comfortable. Bed comfortable--pillows too full for me. Question the cleanliness due to seeing a q-tip on bathroom floor. Hope they found it after we left, since we left it there. Quite a space below the room door which let in light when trying to sleep. Breakfast offerings were typical. Good enough for me, husband didn't think it was very tasty. Would I return? Might try another hotel first, but nothing really offensive. I've stayed in worse.

Clean rooms with a nice set up. Breakfast had a lot of options and was kept super fresh, stocked, and clean. The staff was excellent- from the front desk, to maintainence, to housekeeping- everyone was wonderful. 10/10 We'll be back in the future and would recommend to friends and family.

Stayed here for 2 nights. If you want to be bothered and wake up at all hours of the night (literally!), stay here. There are motion sensor built in the light switches and anytime there is ANY movement, the light comes on. My 2 kids and I were in bed and the living room light went off. Then the bathroom light did. This happened CONSTANTLY both night we were there. At least 10 times each night. Called the front desk on Saturday night (12:30am) and was told the only fix was to put something over the sensor. Smh. The phone in the bedroom didn’t work and when I pulled out the night stand I found the outlet broke. The pull out bed on the couch has the thinnest foam mattress. I literally felt the metal grind my back bones because of how hard it was. So when I went to sleep at 11pm and woke up at 8:40am, maybe got 5 hours of sleep. I saw every hour on the clock because of the lights. And on my last night I am covering the sensors with a cushion from the couch and a towel shoved on the towel rack. Honestly the motion lights were enough to never stay here again, let alone any other concerns. I will be disputing this charge on my credit card. Spend the extra $$ and stay somewhere nicer, even if you will just be sleeping in the hotel. That’s what we thought too and look! (You will also weed out the “bad” crowd by staying at a nicer hotel.)

Edit to add: 3/24/25 - tried calling the hotel and the lady I spoke with verified they have 3 managers and not one of them called me back. Hotwire left a message when they called on Saturday and another employee left a message for someone to reach out to me on Saturday and nothing. Completely ghosted. Called Hotwire again today and (surprise!) no one there can authorize a refund. The company is a complete joke. I’m not letting this go and will be calling everyday until it’s fixed. I will also try to reach a corporate number for Choice Hotels.

Positive: The staff were very kind and helpful. We stayed for a week and saw many different employees and each of them was very welcoming and kind. Good job for the Top-notch staff! Negative: The room keys had an issue where they would stop working by the end of the day and we would need to go to the front desk to fix it every day. The staff were doing there best to help and it seems like this is a wider issue not just us.

Positive: Location was okay. Negative: Very noisy. Walls paper thin. People walking around upstairs sounded like a jackhammer. Huge gaps under front door meant every sound from hallway was audible. Water pipes making loud noises when in use in other rooms. Didn't sleep all night.

Great customer service. Everyone is very friendly amd the rooms were nice and clean. I love that the workout room is nice and big with working equipment. I also like the fact that the rooms are fully furnished. Not like some hotels i stay at...

I like this hotel, and I would stay here again. The only thing that is keeping this hotel a 4 is a lack of attention to detail. Our bathroom was dated, ripped drywall, cracks. No hand soap, literally only 3 tissues in the box. It’s the little things. The breakfast was good, the room was spacious and accommodating with lots of plug ins and storage, it was perfect for traveling with toddler, as we had a little living room to set up the pack and play. I will say staff attitude was hit and miss. Not as friendly as I would expect but it is Illinois so
