When I first looked into this hotel, there were some mixed reviews both here and on Google. Apparently it had been a super 8 and was bought, closed for remodeling, and recently reopened. |Well, they did a FABULOUS job, let me tell you! Everything is well thought out, with a clean, modern feel. Great bed, big tv with several channel choices, convenient layout of room and bathroom, nice towels, plenty of charging options.... I mean I don't have one little negative thing to say. Breakfast options were good, coffee, water, and tea available 24/7 in lobby. We even had pizza delivery the night we stayed.|And... big shout out to Jess at the front desk! She was super friendly, personable, and pleasant to chat with!

Positive: It is newly remodeled. Staff was very nice. Negative: The bathroom was dirty. Used bar of soap in the shower. Shower curtain was dirty and less then a half of tp. Only 2 sets of towels in the bathroom.

Recently renovated. It felt more like an upscale 3star hotel.

Very nice fixtures, clean and comfortable stay. Courteous and helpful staff. They have someone at reception desk 24hrs which was very much appreciated with our odd hours of coming and going with Aurora tours.

Excellent breakfast service.

The rooms are a but smaller. Check to avoid the rooms on lowest level. Heaters are very noisy. Would be nice to have a hot water kettle or microwave safe cups in the room.

I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn on Airport Way for 10 days. The pictures provided by the hotel are a true representation of what I experienced. The hotel is very clean, with modern fixtures and working technology, lights, heat/ac. The staff were always friendly and patient with guests and the cleaning crew were great. The bed was very comfortable - not too firm/soft.The showers were hot, even in the morning when most people are using water. The breakfast was your typical continental with choice of eggs/meat, biscuits and gravy, waffles, breads, muffins, cereals, yogurts and a variety of juices, teas and coffee. There was always fresh fruit available as well. The fitness center has a treadmill, weight bench, bike, and stair stepper as well as a water bottle refill station - which I used daily. The parking lot has plenty of spaces and is very well lit. I felt safe going in and out of this hotel. It's also in a central location within the city, a few minutes from the university and just a mile or so from the downtown Fairbanks area. I was a solo traveler visiting my college student and this hotel was extremely comfortable and affordable. Would recommend the king room for solo travelers and couples.

Young lady who claims to be manager is a detriment to this hotel. I hope her manager sees this review. She is rude, arrogant and was never to be found. I stayed 3 nights and there was usually no one at the front desk during the dayshift. When i did find her, she acted like it was an inconvenience. Other attendants were excellent. Room was great, nice variety of breakfast choices and close to lots of things in town.

I'd give this a 5 star rating for a 2-star hotel classification. It's newly remodeled, and it shows. Rooms and hotel itself very clean; beds comfortable. Included hot breakfast makes an easy and quick start when sightseeing. Airport very close by. Airport Way is a commercial main thoroughfare, so a couple of times it got a little loud with sirens at night. Also, front desk coverage was a bit sparse at times. Overall, you'd be very comfortable staying here.

Morning desk attendant was never around, parental internet controlled browsing on wifi. Put up with domestic violence 3 of the five nights i stayed. One of the nights the police were involved. Rooms are clean. Breakfast was average. One of the workers vehicles was stollen during my stay.
