Comfort Inn Alton near I-255 - Alton, Illinois

I recently stayed at the Alton comfort inn, and having stayed at other hotels in Alton this definitely was the best hotel experience I've ever had. The room was comfortable, with amazingly helpful and friendly staff. The staff went out of their way to ensure accommodations were met around the clock. I would definitely stay here again in the future where the staff treat you as if you were part of their family. It is nice to be able to bring my dog with me to stay at a pet friendly hotel. I recommend this hotel to everyone including my own family and friends.

The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. The lobby was clean and nice, we were given room 120. It was me, my toddler, and my husband. When we got to the room everything appeared fine but the more we looked the more disgusted I became, the floors were sticky, the bathroom door was cracked. There was fingernail clippings all over the floor near the chair, it wasn’t like 1 or two it was a lot. When my son was checking stuff out we heard him say daddy light broken and my husband went to check, reached his hand under the lamp shade and got electrocuted!!! Filled out an incident report and called corporate! This place needs all new staff.

Got the keycard to the room and the elevator smells of weed. Carpets are really old and dingy. Get into the room the windows are all coated with lime scale deposits so heavy you can see out. Ac barely worked. Pulled back the covers to the bed and under the covers was a gas station male performance agent. Which i clearly denotes the bed linen was not changed the bed was only remade. Purely disgusting.

Good location staff is very helpful and made check in at ease. Even front desk staff Sean and Kyleigh have gone out of their way to help me out with my request with my busy work schedule and has made my stay at ease hall ways are very bright and my room is nice and comfortable. Breakfast is always good overall when I have time and not in a rush in the morning the halls become brighter because on my say h had helped the staff put new lights in the hallway

This was a nice stay. We stayed for the week of Christmas . The pool was definitely a bit cold, especially for the kids. The breakfast was good, with many options. The rooms were great and so was the service. Everyone was very kind and helpful.

This Hotel is old! At first glance seeing "every" window was frozen window seals were broken! However inside was warm. Staff was friendly. Needs to be revamp by choice Hotels. The Location was great for us Birders close to Audubon Center why we stayed here. Handicap bath was truly that but needs new updates! Still has hot lamp in Bath area and is w/c accessible. I had requested walkin shower did not need an handicap room. Apparently this hotel only has a walk-in shower in the handicap accessible bath only which is another reason the hotel needs updating! Beds were comfortable and there were NO pests in room so that was positive!

The front desk was pretty friendly and great service. But the room was DISGUSTING there was a bedbug in our room it was 111 and we had to get a different room which was 202 there was stains on the sheets and some paint was coming off the wall. Pictures below.⬇️

There was a hole in the ceiling.

And most of the power outlets are old and need to be replaced.. this includes the lamps. I had plugged my phone in off the lamp and it was dead in the morning. I tried the wall outlet near the bed my charger would not stay in with how it was so loose.. I know this charger works well at its my normal one for the house. Also tried one of the plugs in the bathroom and one by the TV... All so loose when plugging something in they would not hold the plug.

They listed breakfast until 10... Pretty sure they clean up before 9. At 930 everything was cleaned...
