front desk don't even speak English properly, bed bugs and nasty washrooms, don't waste your money here guys, go for some other place.

NEVER AGAIN. The manager walks into ur room without permission.happened to me and my family during our week stay and it has happened to many other clients as well. He has a spare key and knocks once then goes right inside not carrying. U could be naked and u wouldn't know he could just walk right in. Be careful . Also the heat was bad and broken down. The shower had mold and it was just gross.

No stars!!! It was horrible I arrived at 3:00 a.m. check in was easy room was cheap lovely old time atmosphere as far as it being an old building and probably one of the first motels around the area unfortunately the carpet had several stains it looked like it hadn't been changed in 10 plus years the room was clean otherwise except for the bed sheets under the blanket, oh my God the pillow literally looked like somebody drooled on it the night before there were a couple stains on the sheet that look like they were from last night the room was 44° telephone did not work could definitely use some update otherwise the room was clean however the room next to my there was a big fight it sounded like someone was trying to beat a girl and she was refusing to go with him so I called 911 considering I had no other option because there was a game in town and all the other hotels were full no I would not stay there again

This is our go-to motel when we're in Rochelle, IL. The Owners, Bob and Nita are kind, hard working people who have always done their best to accommodate us and make us feel at home during our stay. The property is older and may need some TLC but both Bob and Nita put their hearts into this place and are constantly working to improve. They always greet us with friendly smiles and conversation and always address any issues that may arise in a timely fashion. This makes the Colonnade the perfect place for us, as a family owned business ourselves, who are looking for a no frills, friendly, and convenient place to stay during our work travels. The rooms are always clean and the grounds maintained with trash cans available and pretty flowers planted in the spring but the owner's family like friendliness is what keeps us coming back. If you're looking for a simple, family-owned motel in the Rochelle area and want to support a great local business check out the Colonnade Motel and say hi to Bob and Nita for me! 🙂

At 2:30 in the morning when I should be sleeping I'm currently up coughing my head off. The fumes coming from the heater system which is extremely pouring outdated I've got me sick and my lungs hurting. It is either very cold in this room or extremely hot because the heater blows directly at the bed. This place is extremely poor maintained and the cold the floor is ice cold. The windows have towels all around them because of the leaking and this place is extremely poorly insulated. Worst room I have stayed in since I can remember and not worth $75

Owners are hard working, kind people. They have an old hotel that they try to remodel. But most of the problems need $$. Previous complaints say no hot water. This is true. My shower was installed by a non professional handy man, it leaked water due to poor installation. Dish TV, quits very often. Ants come in because shower water leak is a source of water for them. My stay was during warm weather. Read cold weather reviews.

Old motel with a 'shady' feel to it. Guys playing loud Rap music, hanging around outside. No respect for other guests and office personnel didn't care. Felt that my car could be broken into at any time. Inside smelled musty. Beds were dirty, hair all over the pillows and bed. A/C is a window unit put into the wall. The only thing this place has going for it is location. Sad they don't invest in it to clean it up. I think the $50/night price was a bit high for the condition, cleanliness, and the 'riff raff' that hangs out in the parking lot.
