My 20 year old daughter got routed to Colfax when the I-80 was closed due to snow. She was a little overwhelmed when she found her way to the Colfax Motor Lodge. The staff were kind, calming and helpful! The room was clean and comfortable. She felt safe and was able to walk to several businesses to eat.

It’s a motel, so it’s not fancy or modern, but it’s clean and has the basic motel amenities. I am a solo traveler and I have never felt unsafe staying at the Colfax Motor Lodge. The owner/managers are very friendly and helpful. There’s a couple places to eat, some coffee and a nice little market within walking distance. I stay here about 5 times a year for work related travel.

Very cute lady arrived me at the hotel.She made sure I had this super cute wine deco room. The room is cute and the outside walkway with personal benches for each room. Everything you need and such cute little bathrooms. If traveling thru Colfax, CA definitely stop here. And quick pizza, deli and store. Lookes like a nice bar on the same grounds.

Nice, peaceful place to stay! Clean rooms, comfortable beds, mini fridge (no microwave however there is one near the ice machine to use) has Semi truck parking and location is awesome! Grocery store, restaurants and laundry place all within walking distance. Staff is friendly and keep the grounds clean and a picnic table to enjoy the outside. We look forward to staying here every time we are driving through.

I never stay in motels. BUT, it was literally 4th of July night after 9:00 p.m., and we really needed a place to stay outside of the city to get away from all of the fireworks. I called, and the lady answered the phone, was very kind, and answered all of my questions. We arrived after 11:00 p.m., and she was just as nice in person as she was on the phone. The motel was quaint. Honestly, it looks better in person than it does online. I am a complete germaphobe, so not a lot meets my standards. This was not the case with this motel. The room was very clean, spacious, and quite frankly, perfect for our overnight stay. The mattress was like sleeping on a board, so it was absolutely perfect for me, especially being 8 months pregnant. I also do not leave reviews unless I am totally blown away from how positive of an experience I have with a place, and Colfax Motor Lodge exceeded my expectations. Staying here might become a yearly event for us.

Owners were very nice at check in. The room was clean and large. Bathroom had blow dryer, shampoo and fresh clean towels.
Fridge in room and a coffee pot. Big screen TV and comfy bed.
Freeway beside the hotel but couldn't hear it at all from inside. Many restaurants and a grocery store all right there. We will stay again.
