My husband and I stopped for an overnight stay at a hotel that had a rustic, charming western vibe. The rooms were spacious, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The desk clerk was very friendly and recommended a great restaurant for dinner.

I stay at this Hotel each year on vacation and it is and my only choice for lodging. The front desk staff is one of the very best in the business. I shouldn’t be writing this because it may reduce my chances of getting a reservation in the future, but this information is all true.

They had competitive rates the rooms and the public areas were exceptionally clean our interactions with employees were helpful and friendly. The rooms were furnished with plenty of quality towels and washcloths there was also a K cup coffee machine and Kcups there was a mini fridge and microwave and what was really nice was a full size table and chairs. When we walked in the room the TV remote was laying on the bed with a laminated printed TV guide that they had apparently done themselves “the little things matter “ We will definitely stay here again.

This motel was attractive, the rooms were clean and the rates competitive. However, if you are a person who has a problem sleeping (chronic back pain, but the beds were co.fy) with a spouse that sleeps well, keep driving past this hotel.
I was shocked when I finally got out of bed at 3:45 AM, gathered up some things I had to work on, got dressed and went out the door. I was very surprised to find the fire doors were shut at the end of the hall and I saw that the lobby dark and empty through the windows. I ended up sitting in the stairwell on the stairs.
The person that checked us in could have mentioned that this would be the case. With chronic insomnia, this is a deciding factor in our hotel decision. Don't stay here if you don't sleep all night, check in late, want to leave early, etc. There is no open lobby at night.

Booked last minute based on reviews. The price was good for the area. We didn’t mind the short drive to downtown. The photos on the website are… generous. Our room was in a separate building, which was totally fine. We were able to park right in front. The room itself was disappointing. While it was pretty clean, it definitely needs updating. The seating in the room was the same wooden outdoor furniture as outside the room. Everything was dated, which is fine but also very worn. The bathroom was extremely small. The shower itself was the size of an RV shower. When we closed the room door there was daylight visible around the edges. We were on an extended trip so went to do laundry because they do have a small laundry area. The laundry room was very dirty, definitely hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time.

When I booked my stay for Cody Legacy it was for the hotel portion with a king size single bed room. I booked this out far in advance of my trip (months). When I arrived they had given the room out the night before to someone else. And said they gave me an "upgraded" room that was a building across from the hotel that was a 2 bedroom suite with queen size beds. The room was clean but very dated. Multiple heaters and multiple AC units. To a point that instead of removing the one no longer used, they just added to it. And the problem I ran into was the Split unit AC they are using did not work! My room stayed 81 degrees the 3 nights I was there with the thermostat set to 68! Very uncomfortable. 2nd issue was the bed itself extremely noisy. Any slight move you make it would squeak and groan. I'm 6'6" 220lbs so not too terrible heavy. Bed shouldn't make as much noise as this one did. And lastly was the shower head. I believe they need a new shower head as it has so much pressure. To the point that it felt like I was taking a shower with a pressure washer. The only reason I would not give this a lower star review is that at least the room was clean. And I have no idea what the hotel portion was like. The hotel side looked newer so possibly would have been better. Would I stay here again for my next trip? Probably not.

Rooms look exactly like posted on web site. Make sure to reserve in advance and ask for 1st floor there are no elevators. Would be perfect if they had breakfast. Just coffee. Nice place. Met other nice travelers too.

Spotlessly clean, and really cute! Lady at the front desk was very nice. Reasonably priced too. Cody is pretty close to Yellowstone National Park, and the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway... which is also a must see while in the area. I'll be back here!
