Philip is so kind and worth calling. This is not a traditional hotel but more if Philip has time and inclination, he invites you to see the hotel and sometimes to stay. It’s all very very cool.

I visited this location to meet the owner and see andrarn more about the Old West gambling game of Faro. This location has a bed and breakfast, as well as a gaming museum behind the hotel. The owner, Phil, was a very gracious host and showed me around the hotel, as well as the gaming museum. We sat down and played a cpl hands of Faro, and he showed me all of his equipment. It was a very impressive collection and one worth seeing. I highly recommend to check this pace out if you are in the area, or passing thru to Tombstone or Bisbee

A historic place and an important part of Arizona and the Wild West, staying here is like stepping back in time. Each room has its own unique theme. Big Nose Kate worked here and her picture still hangs in the hallway. The owner, Phil, took the time to teach us the game of Faro, and breakfast was included the next morning. Just a fantastic time staying here!

The owner, Phil, is on premises and is an excellent tour guide. The hotel is filled with beautiful antiques as well. All of the outbuildings are furnished and fun to look at and each has a story.

Staying at this historic hotel is like stepping back in time with its Victorian furnishings. The rooms are comfortable and cozy, and owner Phil Gessert is a wonderful host!

I visited the Cochise Hotel last year during their 1800s Gala event. Phil, the owner, and his mother were dressed to the nines ready to greet attendees. The hotel is still split up into the original single rooms that miners would stay in, with the shared bathroom at the end of the hall. The "living room" is filled with game tables, and the entire hotel is decorated with beautiful antiques and rare taxidermy (such as the white buffalo in the foyer).

While the main sign above the hotel says established 1882, the door says 1897, and I forgot to clarify with Phil which is accurate... either way the hotel is over 120 years old. A beautiful piece of history, make sure to take the extra drive out to the registered ghosttown Cochise, the Cochise Hotel, and Cochise stronghold.
