A jewel of a B&B...i highly recommend it..Paul and Janet are such friendly hosts and so attentive....I give high culinary points for the tasty breakfast...plenty of oid food to eat.
The room was cozy and spectacular.....and a little romantic, clean..and the bathroom was spotless .
Downtown Galena is a short direct 5 minutes via Franklin street. Parking is no problem.

We stayed here for our anniversary/our first time in Galena this week and loved it! Paul was inviting and very friendly. We loved the variety of DVD’s you could choose from. The room across from our room had coffee, tea, and popcorn which was a nice touch. I just wish the fridge in our room was stocked with a couple cans of soda with the waters, but no big deal!

The room we stayed in was Alice’s room which was very nicely kept, small but super cozy, and a nice quiet area. The whole B&B was clean, peaceful, and welcoming. Breakfast was also amazing!

Check in/check out was a smooth process. This was a great anniversary trip and would highly recommend Cloran Mansion. We will be back!

My wife and I visited the Cloran Mansion for our honeymoon this past week. Paul met us at the front door and immediately began showing us around the mansion. We stayed in Antonio’s cottage which was absolutely perfect! The cottage was very cozy and spacious and the jacuzzi bathtub did not disappoint! The breakfast each morning were absolutely delicious and Paul went above and beyond to make our visit special. We will definitely be returning!

My husband and I enjoyed a short getaway to Galena, and a big part of our enjoyment was staying at Cloran Mansion. It is close enough to the action to be convenient, but out of the in-town bustle and Host Paul was friendly and helpful. John’s Room was lovely - Jacuzzi tub for 2, very comfortable bed, gas fireplace. Breakfast was incredible; we had no need to eat lunch on either of our days. One breakfast was French toast smothered with homemade granola; the second was apple waffles. Both also included fresh fruit and eggs to order. We would love to return and enjoy the grounds in warmer weather.

We had such a wonderful experience with our wedding! The cottage was beautiful and private. Paul and Janet went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was soooo good and accommodating for our vegetarian diet. Will definitely come back in the future!

Staying at the Cloran Mansion was great. It was extremely clean. The bedding and towels were of the highest quality. The Inn itself was beautiful. We were there in October and it was beautifuly decorated for Fall. The breakfast was delicious. We had Fruit, specialty pancakes, bacon, zucchini fritters, and were offered eggs any way we wanted them. Just a wonderful place to stay.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Cloran Mansion for my Birthday and we were delighted with our stay! From the beautiful room (Sara's Room), the lovely touch of a small birthday cake, and the absolutely wonderful hospitality...the stay was in itself a gift. Paul is the epitome of the gracious and chill host, knowledgeable about the area! The breakfast area was charming, and the food was delicious, loved that they can do eggs cooked to order! There were halloween decorations and pumpkins around the mansion, really helping to make it really feel like fall! We are already looking forward to next time.

Over the years I have stayed in many bed and breakfast homes. I must say this lovely home would be at the very top of my list. We met friends at the Cloran Mansion and all 4 of us said we will return! Paul met us at the door and was so kind and friendly throughout our visit. The breakfasts were amazing, the bedrooms were charming and the beds were comfy. Galena is a charming city and staying at this beautiful bed-and-breakfast makes it a perfect retreat.
