Great breakfast, the first two mornings there was no bakery items too toast but the last four mornings there was; scrambled eggs were lovely and fluffy and lovely crispy bacon, this was the only good thing. |I was there six days on arrival the front desk let you know that cleaning is only every third day; on the third morning of my stay no cleaning... so I decided to see if they did clean or if you need to ask for your room to be cleaned, on my last day still no cleaner, there were two full bins (over following), no clean towels, no tea or coffee left or drinking cups in the room; there is also no jug for boiling water for tea only an old microwave oven.|I was on the ground floor looking over 9th Avenue, the road noise was loud and horrible and on the Saturday the noise/music from the park was loud could not get any sleep due to all this noise which also included the loud stomping noise from the floor above which sounded like a herd of elephants walking in the room above mine.|The carpets looked like they were not clean this was due to wear from the carpet being old.

The hotel is decent for the price and it's in close proximity to a lot of restaruants and shopping. The staff were friendly and attentive, particularly Angela, who helped me get my checkout and housekeeping issues sorted. She always made time for friendly conversation and seemed to truly care about the comfort of the guests.

The staff overall was wonderful. One individual set herself apart thou, Angela.|Angela was very kind and helpful. She went out of her way in every way to assist and accommodate us. Would not hesitate to come back and recommend to my peers. |Great suggestions on where to get a good meal as well!|Angela rocks!

The room was like so hot when we first got there, who knows how long it was sitting with the AC off before we got there. AC didn’t really reach the other side of the hotel room.
The room is huge though and the shower got really hot which was super nice. It was also really clean. Lots of the tv channels said they didn’t renew the subscription for you to view them. So much storage could see staying here for longer. Lots of plugs for electronics.
It was like a mile walk from everything important in downtown, we ended up walking out then taking a Lyft back usually.
Staff was really nice, allowed us to check in an hour early for free after 12 hours on planes and in airports which was much appreciated!

Positive: I've stayed here a few times now and it's often because of it's affordability and it's great location. It was a bit loud, and hot on the 2nd floor, but they have renovated since my last stay and I think it's a really excellent value. Negative: A little loud at night. I think I was over the awning and I heard a dripping constantly.

Good hotel for the area, but, unfortunately, Alaska is not known for its excellent hotels. We are long time Alaska residents who moved away last year, and returned for a work trip for my husband. We were here about 13 days. I would stay here again if I needed a hotel in the area.

The staff is personable and helpful. We had an issue with the first room in which we were placed (large wet spot on the floor near the bathroom that was present at check in and did not dry overnight.) I requested a room change in the morning, which was given promptly.

The room rate is reasonable in relation to other area hotels. High price in the summer tourist season, but that is to be expected given the location.

The rooms are clean enough, though in need of renovation. I do hope any renovations include lids for the toilets! I was nervous that shower supplies would be dropped into the open toilet. I had to use the first floor laundry facility a couple times and it was clean. Getting cash for quarters was a bit of a hassle, with the nearest ATM a couple blocks away.

The downtown location is super convenient for finding a restaurant and enjoying downtown attractions like the Coastal Trail. That said, the hotel parking area is a little sketchy with no security, and shared by a restaurant. We were careful to remove all items from the car each evening as break-ins were a realistic possibility. Panhandling was an issue on occasion.

Breakfast is available but not very good, which was a disappointment to my husband, who needed to eat before work.

The room was clean! Loved the bed, pillows and lighted vanity area. Most hotels have poor lighting so you can’t see to shave. We needed to walk from the train station. It was a nice 20 minute walk. James was great and let us keep our luggage there after we checked out because our plane didn’t leave until 11pm. Would stay here again!❤️

Large, room, thought it was fairly clean until I saw the side of the bottom of the mattress I slept on last night. I understand that other people sleep here and things happen. The hotel should either replace the mattress, recover it, or bleach it until the stain is gone. Breakfast was edible, not great. Location is good, didn’t have a car, but a lot of restaurants within a half mile. No shuttle though, so I have to pay cab fare to and from airport.
