What I liked: Good price, clean room, free breakfast, restaurant onsite.||Not so much: Website says shuttle but it wasn't available when I arrived and I had to rush to catch their one run in the morning. They put an extra $200 on my credit card in case of room damage. They actually go inspect your room while you're waiting to check out before reversing the $200. I've never seen that done before! Makes me wonder what kind of clientele they usually get.||It was fine for one night.

Homeless people wandering around outside. Step inside, and the people in the seating area appeared to be Homeless as well. Dark, dingy, and smelly.
The room temperature was set at 67 but the temperature was 78. Everything was old and smelly.
The girl at the front desk did give us a refund. That was the only good thing.
Clarion, yeah I don't think so!
Pictures on website must be 20 years old.
Choice hotels need to downgrade this place to dump!

Background: My friend and I stayed at this hotel for one night before our morning flight out of Fairbanks.

Airport Shuttle Service: They may already corrected this in their website and on other platforms but they do not provide airport shuttle service. I called in advance prior to double check and they confirmed that they did provide that service. Once we checked in, I asked them about the service and they said they no longer provide it. This is one of the main reasons why we stayed with them. Not the end of the world, so I asked if they knew any good taxis services and they handed me a business card, it was $50 for a ten minute ride to the airport!! $20 for reservation fee and $30 for the ride. Total ripoff! I’m not sure why they wouldn’t update their guests about that change and also connecting them with a taxis driver that is trying to up charge their customers.

Rooms- The rooms are spacious however, our first room smelled liked cigarettes and we found beard trimmings in the bathroom. So, we asked for another room. Our next room smelled and realized the toilet wasn’t flushed. We also found hair of all sorts on our sheets and bathroom. The pillows also smelled like sweat, I’m assuming they have thin pillow cases and don’t wash their pillows often.

Overall, Google says this place is 3 star hotel but set your expectations, it’s more of a 1 or 2 star hotel. The staff weren’t rude but I would say the airport shuttle service issue brought them down to a 1 star. The rooms were pretty bad and we were glad we only stayed there for less than 24 hours.

The room was extremely dirty. The bed in the first room we got was covered in hair. The staff was very nice and helped us switch to another room, but as soon as we walked in, there was a strong smell of sweat that lingered for two days. On top of that, the table lamp wasn’t plugged in, so we had to do it ourselves.BTW the wifi is so sucks. And the hotel only have two queen beds no kings bedroom.

Booked February 12th. Eliza Coyle canceled the reservation on May 13th and DID NOT INFORM US. We booked for June 18-24 in order to be in Fairbanks for all of the Solstice Festivities. Eliza Coyle single-handedly RUINED a once in a lifetime trip for 4 people. Multiple people spending HOURS to correct her mistake. She canceled our reservations with her hotel code - AK038. Shame on you Eliza. How would you like it if someone did this to you?

If you want your hotel broke into and your stuff stolen then this is the place for you! Located in a nice location but the hotel itself is a one star hotel at best. Second stay of the night and our door was violently opened against the latch catch several times until I spoke. Then the person slammed the door and vanished. Front desk personnel acted like everything was normal and that a random person having a master key was no big deal. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Hotel is very centrally located. Breakfast is good. Bathroom supplies were average but good enough for the price.All staff was generally very helpful except for 1 receptionist at night who seemed disinterested.

I had a “tech” issue with booking a room at another location. I drove from Wasilla, AK to get in 2am. I was tired, and ill. Thanks to Alex at the front desk, I gave up searching for a place to stay. I wasn’t too happy with the price for what I got. Service is great, and my room was clean. But the hotel has some pretty high prices verses what’s around here and what you get. Feel like I stayed in a building with heat in the Wild West. But thank you Alex! Clarion, you can adjust the prices a little lower.
