The venue itself is great! We loved how spacious it is. Unfortunately, the staff at this venue have horrible customer service. We had to reschedule our wedding multiple times due to the pandemic. At first, management said we could get our money back no problem if we did have to cancel. Then once it came time to cancel, we could not get any money back. The event coordinator was extremely hard to get a hold of. I called multiple times, and they were always out of the office. I left multiple messages and they never returned my calls. I also called the talk to the manager, but they didn't seem to care that we were very upset with the event coordinator and our experience with CityView. Overall, I would not recommend this venue because of their customer service.

My son and daughter-in-law had their wedding and reception at Cityview. The venue was outstanding, except for the carpet. However, the best part of my experience was the staff. Everyone from security to management, servers, bartenders, etc. was so helpful, welcoming and courteous that the entire experience was far better than I ever dreamed. Thank you to the security staff of Illinois Terminal and the entire staff of CityView.

City view is a very large public area that can be rented for parties, meetings, or weddings/receptions.

Four stories up, it has a good view of town.

Catering is available right there.

Freight trains and the City of New Orleans make for great background views too.

We had originally booked our wedding reception at the CityView at Illinois Terminal. We had worked with Wendy to do the showing and the booking. Unfortunately do to the COVID 19 pandemic we had to change our date and ultimately cancel not only because of the pandemic but also because my husband is military (living out of state) and couldn't travel during this time. Throughout the entire planning process, pre-covid and during pandemic changes, Wendy was absolutely amazing to work with. She answers all communications super promptly and was extremely understanding and sympathetic when we had to cancel. Without much explanation we were able to cancel and get our money back. I am extremely disappointed that we weren't able to have our reception at the CityView at Illinois Terminal but am just as much grateful for Wendy and her warm spirit and understanding throughout it all! Would definitely recommend based on our experience.

We enjoyed our company Christmas party here. The room was very spacious and well decorated and clean. Mattex Heating, Cooling and Plumbing resigned to have it there again next year!

This is the place I dreamed about having my wedding reception. I made several attempts to reach out to Colleen so that I could make it happen. I was only able to get a hold of her because someone else had to reach out for me, every single time. She even forgot about our meeting and I had to have someone else take me to her. It has been MONTHS since she has contacted me. Our meeting was March 16th, I have not heard from her since. Really upsetting considering, this is where I had planned to have my reception. Now I have to look elsewhere and I'm not happy at all about it. Thank you to Stu, who was the only one to communicate with me. I hope everyone else's experience at this place is better than mine was. THE CHRISTMAS THAT WAS HELD HERE WAS VERY ORGANIZED. I LIKE THE WAY THE TABLE SEATING WAS SET UP. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS @ THE SET UP WAS PERFECT. THIS IS MY 1st EXPERIENCE WITH A SET UP LIKE THIS ONE. HATS OFF TOO THE ONES WHO ORGANIZED THIS CHRISTMAS PARTY!!!👍👍👍
