The cabin was beautiful! Modern but still cozy. We appreciated how clean the facility was and the communal fire pit was a great touch. The beds were extremely comfortable! We stopped only for the night on our way from Seward to Denali but we had adequate time to explore Talkeetna due to the cabin’s convenient location.

We stayed one night here and it was one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. The owners were so helpful and the cabins were fantastic. Comfortable beds and every detail was well thought out. Plus it was very walkable to the main downtown area. We would definitely stay again!

We stayed here this week for one night. We had a hard time finding lodging for just the one night we needed and something close to town until I saw this option and so glad I booked it. Great family owners, large comfortable updated accommodations with small kitchen area, TV, WiFi, nice sized shower best shower we had, close to town and flight seeing tour! Just walk across the street to the flight seeing tour or just around the corner essentially and you are in town! Quiet also. Would be great for families needing larger space and people who don’t have a car. Do not hesitate to book here!

What a stupendous experience! Lots of room, fully equipped cabin and an outdoor silo stove under cover. What’s not to love. A great get-away spot, close to town and all its shops and amenities. Great friendly and knowledgeable staff. We’ll not stay anywhere else in Talkeetna!!!

This place is great! My whole extended family took up 4 cabins so we got to see all that this place had to offer. The rooms are great for the family. My kids slept upstairs and my wife and I slept down on the main level. The proprietors are really nice and accommodating people. Very helpful with anything we needed. Based on our experience here, when I visit Talkeetna again, there is no reason to look anywhere else to stay. If Chinook Winds has a vacancy, we are staying here.

The cabins are perfectly located between the airfield and the downtown strip and within a mile of the river and Denali lookout. We got lucky and were able to see Denali cloud free.

Te small kitchenette was very convenient for leftovers. Highly recommend.

When you hear the word cabin, you automatically think rustic. We spent 2 nights at Chinook Wind Cabins and stayed in the Brooks cabin. This cabin was anything but rustic, I would describe it more as a luxury stay. The cabin was beautiful. The decor, the fixtures the amenities were all amazing. The Bathroom was spa like with huge plush towels and beautiful fixtures. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The kitchenette featured a small refrigerator, microwave, sink, dishes, silverware, anything you might need for a short visit. The setting was close to downtown Talkeetna within walking distance of anything that you wanted to take part in. The owners were extremely sweet and Mike even went the extra mile to air up one of our car tires on our first day there. I highly recommend these cabins when you venture out to Talkeetna.

This is our family's third stay at Chinook Wind Cabins and second time in the Denali Cabin. In terms of family travel, we really appreciate the Denali Cabin's full kitchen (it's great to fix meals on our own timetable.) Chinook Wind has a wonderful location - we like being able to walk to Talkeetna's Main Street attractions, as well as the Gear Shop.
