Lovely venue with gorgeous mountain views! Definitely felt like a mountain resort setting, which was a nice reprieve in between meetings — I enjoy listening to the birds and squirrels duke it out instead of car traffic like when we used to hold our conference downtown. My room had a full view of Cheyenne Mountain but was still close to the conference center, making the trip between my room and the business meetings very convenient even though we lucked out with fantastically sunny weather (definitely not a given during that time of year in Colorado!) I also loved the fact that the rooms are spacious; I had a lot of space to spread out. Everyone on the hotel staff was amazing and helpful, and the food delicious. Note that everything on-site is now cashless, so leave plenty of room on your credit cards.

This place is fantastic. Came here with my 2 teens for vacation. The views are breathtaking. All staff we encountered were friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and updated with very comfy beds. Stayed on second floor didn’t really hear much noise other than normal hotel noise. Had breakfast at the buffet a few times and the food was excellent. $25 a person including drinks but you get tons of options. Loved having access to pools and gym and golf. My son liked the gym. Only thing I didn’t like was having to pay for parking. Will definitely come back and stay here again.

The rooms were functional and fine. The bathroom was a bit dated and small, the lighting left lots to be desired. The patio with a Mountain View was great and beds were comfy. What really blew me away though was the quality of every single team member we met here. It felt like they were aiming for 5 star service without the pretension of a Forbes 5 star rated property. From Brendon who took our bags in the golf cart when we arrived, to the wonderfully attentive housekeepers, the friendly desk staff and the nicest individual who shared local tips with me while I waited for them to make my custom omelette (I wish I’d have gotten a name, it was the great team member at the omelette and waffle station 3/13) The rooms wouldn’t bring me back, but the PEOPLE, views and common areas would.

I am a travel & meeting professional with over 15 years experience in planning and managing corporate events. The Cheyenne Mountain Resort is a fantastic venue not only for meetings but also for a leisure stay. First of all the setting is gorgeous with amazing mountain views and the property has a rustic lodge feel but also provides the amenities of a full resort. The food and service levels are excellent and consistent what you would expect from a solid 4 star Hyatt brand. Finally the staff was professional and a true pleasure to work with- overall my client had a fantastic program and I would highly recommend the CMR for any business or pleasure stay in Colorado Springs!

We loved the spacious, comfortable room (with pretty average decor) with a fantastic view of Cheyenne Mountain. The price was better than what we could have got for a similar room elsewhere without the view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable and while the bathroom was rather plain overall, the shower had good pressure (and nice tile work) and the provided shampoo was very good quality. My only complaint is that the walls were a little thin for a place of otherwise good quality.

This location was great for a 1 day event we held for our Soldiers and their families. Very well kept and clean, staff were amazing and assisted with everything we asked for. We will definitely be back to conduct many more events in the future.

Hyatt has done an acceptable job of updating many of the facilities at Cheyenne Mountain Resort. However, one does wonder when the next step of updating staff at this facility will happen, and the characteristic uniformity associated with Hyatt quality will be employed. Whether from laziness or general negligence, from the front desk staff to housekeeping there is a general sense of disorder/failure in management and training. No one knows protocol/no one is providing employees with consistent answers to questions/and the resort can feel a bit like it’s being maintained for the land value later (clean towels in the bathrooms, but six different patterns… fresh paint, but aged facilities.) Hyatt has its work cut out, old staff of Cheyenne resort need to be let go and new/seasoned employees of Hyatt need to be employed… consistency in everything from linens to hours of operation to communication standards between staff and guests would be nice.

There also seems to be a substantial disconnect between the staff and third-party booking agencies, such as Expedia. When you book with Expedia, you provided a rather lengthy list of additional charges that can be levied at the property, but I have never had a resort attempt to maximize on this potential by charging us nearly $200 more than our expected on site premium. The manager was somewhat off base explaining this attempt, but a refund of additional charges was issued. I will probably stay again, but Hyatt needs to step up.
