I haven't been to a lot of campgrounds, but of the ones I have visited, Cherokee Rock is the best. The campsites are clean, each one has a breathtaking view of the town below it, and it's fun to walk through the trails around the campsite. Highly recommend this place, buy a shirt too. The restrooms/showers are clean with hot water.

We visited Cherokee Rock Village today. We didnโ€™t expect it to be hazy/foggy but it was. Regardless, itโ€™s an absolutely breathtaking park. There are all kinds of really cool rocks. We were the only ones there due to the weather but still enjoyed it. Climbers go there to rock climb. It appears to be a great place for a beginning climber, as well as experienced individuals. Neither of us are climbers. We hiked a bit and enjoyed taking pictures of the beautiful scenery. We will definitely and canโ€™t wait to take our grandchildren to visit.

Having rappelled and rock-hopped there back in the 90s, I decided to take my 8- and 9-year old grandsons there for some fun, while on family vacation at Weiss Lake. They had a blast scrambling and exploring lots of nooks and crannies, and doing a little low altitude bouldering. It was just as much fun as I remembered. Even did a little rock-hopping myself!

Bought a shirts stickers and they have good climbing equipment too. Highly recommend you check it out. Wish they had better maps though. This is in my top ten slots for car camping for sure ๐Ÿ‘Œ

A beautiful park with unique views. The entrance fee was $8 per vehicle. There is an option to camp and go climbing. The restrooms were clean and accessible. A souvenir shop is also available. There are a few hiking trails to explore. Highly recommended

We had so much fun! The park is well maintained and the attendant was very friendly. Nice picnic area and amazing views of Weiss Lake. My preteen son had the best time climbing on the rocks and crevices.

We camped here for a weekend and it was spectacular. Seemingly unlimited options for scrambling, bouldering, and rope climbing on rocks. If climbing isn't your thing, there are some magical caves and trails to explore. With a quick scramble up a rock, you get an incredible view across Lake Weiss and to the mountains in the distance. We watched the sunrise from one of these rocks and it was worth waking up for. Reasonable price for tent camping. You can bring a camper, but there are no hookups so you have to have your batteries charged and water tank full. Some amazing sites right on the edge of lookout mountain!
