Had a great experience here! Tom was so kind and had great recommendations for us during our weekend getaway to Beloit. Pulled pork, cornbread, and baked beans were top notch. Can’t wait to swing back in here next time we’re in town.

Great beer, and great people! I did not eat the food, but it smelled amazing. I did drink the beer, and it was as good or better than any brewery I have visited.. If you like having craft beer available, hit this place up before it falls victim to a decline in business, and our choices are reduced to hard seltzers. They do have some of those too if that's your thing.

CheezHEAD Brewing is a great small brewery and smoke house in downtown Beloit. The owner Tom is a nice guy. For beers they had a hazy IPA, an ale, 2 farmhouse ales, a mango habanero IPA, a cream ale, a Porter, Belgian Quad, Red ale, West coast IPA, a rye pale ale, cherry chocolate porter, a seltzer, and a guest Irish red. They also have booze, wine, and standard beers in bottles.

The atmosphere was in line with the old building. Exposed beams, brick walls, wood floors but not fancy. Tom had blues jamming on my stop which worked for me. I am really bummed that had eaten before I stopped, I have heard very good things....but I suppose that just gives me a reason to stop again.

Interesting place. Overall enjoyable. Let’s break this down.
Live in town and walk by here numerous times very intrigued on heading in here for a drink and also get a bite to eat, due to their menu is posted to the window.
Well, Yesterday was the day.
Came in, approximately six people sitting around the bar. Cool environment, laid-back, local place, which I like. Was advised by the bartender it’s cash only and advised me where an ATM was at the back door, where upon I went to get cash. Out the back door was a Food truck, local Mexican place that I’ve seen around. I’m sure if it was open or not due to it didn’t look active. Got my money went back in.
The local beer is good the Lambo Leap I enjoyed since I like a lighter beer. Also check Out the Mexican beer, which I forgot its name. Which was good.
I was advised if I was hungry the food truck was taking orders and either I could give her the order or I could go do it. The menu for the Mexican food truck was on the bar. This is the part. I was a little disappointed in due to the fact I came to try their food; the Mexican food, the mac & cheese with all the crap in it, etc..
I tried the Mexican food truck and it’s really nothing special at all.
Perhaps there is an area or a sign that I didn’t notice saying that they didn’t cook on a regular basis. I don’t know, but this was the sole reason I came to this place.
I will be a little hesitant on going back now if I want food due to the fact that this happened. But the drinks were good, service was good and friendly atmosphere was pretty cool.
You think for a Friday night that they would be doing their own cooking since at 6:30 there truly wasn’t a parking spot in downtown Beloit. If you want to be successful, you need to be consistent. Either have food trucks, different ones, every day or You cook on a regular basis.
Spoke to my Barber around the corner, he said he’s been in there to have a few drinks and didn’t say anything about the food. I asked him about the food and he said he’s never tried it and didn’t know that they made food there. I should’ve been the first hint.
I wish you well, I will come back for drinks, but I will not for food. Especially with the boutique hotel across the street. Many visitors like to try Out Local cuisine, and you seem to be the only one not owned by a big corporation on those corners, that’s why I came to support you.

Wow. Cherry Chocolate Porter was the BOMB. Rich and delicious. Also loved the Peanut butter Porter. Flavorful with no scorched peanut taste as many have. Interesting and vibrant red ale. And Blueberry Cream Ale is an easy drinking summer please. Laid back place, with great aromas of BBQ. A great stop on our trip!!!
