We liked this place. Across the street from Bass Lake in a cool little area. Good food and service. I had a burrito and enjoyed it. Not too dry ĺike a lot of burritos. When I couldn't decide between the red or green sauce, the server quickly recommended trying both, which was a nice touch. We almost went back a second time it was so good, but we decided to try something new.

Wow. Nothing fancy but if you want great Mexican food then this is the place to go. I wish I lived closer so I could come back again and again. The meal I ordered was over the top stupendous. They had great choices for us vegetarians.

I went with one of my human friends and two of my doggy friends to have an early dinner/ late lunch. The service was excellent. They even brought us water for the dogs. At one point we got a free appetizer and even free meatballs for our dogs. We sat outside because of the dogs, but the service was just as if not more attentive than it would have been inside. The food was excellent and in large quantities. Both of us needed to take leftovers home. I recommend this place to anyone looking for some Mexican food or a place to take their dogs around Bass lake. I hear they have good hamburgers too.

Whenever we are in Bass lake we always go to eat eat at Casa Velasco. the food and service never disappoint. My favorite dishes the fajitas. I like chicken the best!

A hidden gem, literally, it's easy to pass. Not a huge place, but it's shaded OUTDOOR dining area fixes that. The chips and homemade salsa were freshly made. I ordered a 3 item combo to taste test a shredded beef taco, chicken enchilada, and a chili relleno. The taco was excellent and full of beef. The enchilada sauce was very flavorful. The relleno was cheesy. The prices were typical, $20 for this combo with beans and rice.

For guacamole fans, the $4.50 side order was bland. We asked for lemon wedges to "fix it up" but left 90% of it behind.
