It is definitely a boutique experience. Rooms are boutique. Bathroom is boutique and showers are really boutique….boutique shower fixtures in your face if you are over 5’5 tall.

I’m not sure how rooms here run close to $700 a night. Def recommend using hotels tonight or something if you want to book here.

Parking is fairly horrific.

Loved our getaway stay at Casa Laguna. Very romantic ambiance with flowers and fountains throughout the property. Room was small but cozy, bed was comfortable, and we loved the bench outside our Ocean View room where we could sit to enjoy the ocean and sunsets. Would definitely recommend the ocean view rooms without the patio as they’re at the back of the property, so we weren’t bothered by noise from the road. We used the Laguna Trolley to go into town to shop which was very convenient. Staff here were lovely and attentive. We took advantage of the spa and had a couples massage, which we loved. Highly recommend this boutique hotel.

Did you ever have a stay so delightful that you wrote a review within 5 minutes of leaving a property? I haven’t, until my recent stay at Casa Laguna. It was 4 days of pure bliss. |The property is beautiful and well maintained harking back to early California of the 1930’s. Terracotta roof and tiles are adorned with bespoke ceramic tiles. Our room offered a panoramic view of the Pacific. There is poolside food service and the pool is heated to a welcoming 82 degrees. |The staff was perfectly professional. They managed to be always available and attentive without ever hovering. Special thanks to Nick and Cody for their warm personalities and assistance. |When I called the hotel to check on amenities (yes, there is a beach bag with towels and a beach mat in your room) I mentioned in passing that is was my husband’s and my 40th wedding anniversary. Upon check in we were greeted with a delicious bottle of champagne and a heartfelt card. |We can’t wait to come back!

The atmosphere is so beautiful and relaxing. We felt like we were at an Inn in the Mediterranean! The service was excellent the breakfast was delicious and the pool was nice and warm. We enjoyed the sunset over the ocean on the balcony at our room with complimentary sangrias and cookies. We are definitely coming back here!

My wife and I spent three nights at Casa Laguna. We were warmly greeted at check-in and continued to receive first class service throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed the beautifully landscaped grounds and the pool area. Breakfast with mimosas on the outdoor patio started each day in a very relaxing manner. A short walk took us to quiet, beautiful beach. Numerous other beaches and attractions are just a short drive away. We plan to stay there again when we return next year for our annual Laguna Beach visit.

This is indeed a historic, quirky hotel climbing uphill from the Pacific Coast Highway, a six lane road with a lot of fast traffic. Our room was comfortable, but the fairly recent renovation was more decorative than practical. As an instance, no shaving mirror.|The staff are all excellent, and breakfast is unusual and delicious, but the menu doesn’t change. It’s quite a distance from the village, and you really need a car to get there for shopping and restaurants.|If you don’t mind that, it’s a very enjoyable and different experience. If you prefer to be at the heart of things, and enjoy speed limited traffic, you could do better to choose a hotel in town.

What really makes this hotel great is the staff. They could not have been more helpful, accommodating, and attentive. ||Our room was spacious, but it would've been nice to have a small dresser, table, or chair instead of the drinks/snacks cart. I felt like there was not enough area to put our stuff. Also, room did have a mild musty, moldy smell.||Surprisingly, the road noise at night wasn't an issue at all even though we were towards the front of the property.||However, it was disappointing that Wi-Fi, breakfast, and parking are no longer complimentary. They are now charging a "resort fee" of $37/night + tax. We did receive a glass of sparkling wine when we checked in which was lovely. ||We did enjoy our stay at Casa Laguna and would consider returning.

Really poor customer service. Reserved a room, got a confirmation email, confirmed we can check in late and was told the front desk had staff at it until midnight and that we could call after midnight if needed.

Arrived at 11:45pm and William at the front desk told us there were no more rooms and that he does not have our reservation. I told him I have an email and screen shot of my confirmation and he said no. I asked him to pull up the reservation to tell me what happened and he did not pull anything up but told me the rooms are full. I asked him how this could have happened and told him he needs to pull up my confirmation number and he said he does not have access and that my card was declined. I showed him my card has a transaction for the deposit and he said that the payment was declined even though my card has the transaction as having gone through.

He was incredibly unsympathetic, refused to look anything up or help us in any way and then scolded us for not calling to confirm after we had previously been on the phone with them to confirm late check-in and the pet policy. William did a very poor job and if he is telling the truth about this, then this hotel does a very poor job at reservation management.

At the very least, if I get a confirmation number and have a reservation after checkout online on the hotel's website, they have a responsibility to contact me in case of any issues, including cards declining, a mix up in reservations, or anything else.

Casa Laguna really failed here and this is a terrible level of service. My fiance was crying tonight and my fiance is heartbroken over having had our anniversary weekend ruined.
