Absolutely the most beautiful place for any event of any size anywhere in central Illinois. The owners are present and always concerned for the satisfaction and comfort of their guests. The atmosphere of the center, even without additional decorating, is dazzling. Out area is blessed to have such a place for birthday and anniversary celebrations, weddings and receptions, fundraisers and meetings; anything that calls for a place larger than your living room should be held here.

Wow! What more could you ask for? As a wedding DJ it's always nice when the staff is friendly and helpful. So I can only imagine how their couple's get treated. When I was there they went above and beyond to ensure my couple had everything they needed and more!

This place is the whole package!

We had our rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception at the Carriage House Event Center. The venue itself is beautiful, and all of our guests were very impressed. It is the quality of a very high end Hotel ballroom, with high ceilings and beautiful woodwork.

The real value of the place lies in what you get when you rent here: Janet Ramsey and her team. Janet is an experienced and professional event organizer. She turned one of the most stressful events of our lives into an easy going ordeal. For the price included with renting the venue, Janet met with the bride on several occasions, used pieces from her own vast collection of decor to match exactly what the bride expected, and overall made great suggestions. We were so impressed with Janet that we utilized her suggestions for DJ's, food, etc., and was generally pleased with them all.

For the actual wedding/reception Janet was always present, and doing more than she should have been. One second she was the event coordinator, the next she was making sure the wedding party had their drinks, and the next she was coordinating with the photographers to make sure everything was just right. We can't say enough good things about her, and the Carriage House Event Center.

For what you pay, this place is a deal. With everything included, Janet worked with our budget and we were very happy with the overall price. If you are looking for something even remotely in the area of Altamont, IL, we highly recommend the Carriage House. We have even been suggesting it to our friends as far as St. Louis for the price to value ratio.

This is an excellent place to hold any type of large event (wedding reception, reunion, prom, etc..) I have DJ’ed several events here and the owner and staff have been wonderful and very accommodating. This is also an ideal location for hosting events that have guest that are traveling out of town because, 1.) it is located right off the interstate and 2.) there is a hotel located right next door.

It's a very nice facility for various activities. The restrooms are very well done. It can be expanded to accommodate very large crowds.
