We booked thru a 3rd party. Heading out of town on a family vacation - park sleep and fly has always been our go to. Except this time.

The worst experience we have ever experienced. First night before our flight we walked into our room smelling like an absolute ash tray. Wires hanging out behind our door. Drain for the shower was wide open pvc pipe. However we had already booked and needed to sleep a few hours to catch our flight. Blinds were broken given little privacy & street lights coming in all night. People coming and going through the parking lot all night long. Screaming and yelling outside at all times of the night & car horns going off all night. Again, no sleep at all.

Kept our vehicle parked there with the park sleep fly package.

Got in late from our flight. Pulled into the parking lot witnessing an argument in the parking lot that resulted into the cops being called as a male was hitting a female. We as witness’ had to ask the front desk to call the cops. Then we witnessed both vehicles leave with the other vehicle smashing into cars in the parking lot, fly out of the parking lot and hit a pole across the street. We put our children in our vehicles and left.

We will never be back again. And will make sure to let anyone with families DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

Someone did a great job with the marketing photos! The place was filled with cigarette and other smoke despite being a “smoke free” room. Not sure the rigged smoke detector is up to code. We were too exhausted to request another room. At least the bathroom had one of three working lights.||We paid for the park, sleep, fly package. We were up early the next morning and didn’t bother waiting for the breakfast. The shuttle drivers were nice and provided safe transportation to and from this place. Thankfully our car was not damaged. Good thing we have a sense of humor and could afford this mistake.

Positive: The rooms were updated and ?clean? when I lifted my sheets I found a bunch of long black hairs. The shower floors were slippery from leftover soap residue. Negative: The location is convenient and for the price it?s not terrible.

The hotel is conveniently located just a mile from Midway Airport on Archer Road, opposite Curie High School, with excellent parking and shuttle services. Breakfast is decent and free, and a mini-mart is available for snacks. The renovated rooms are great, equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee machine. Security is tight, ensuring only registered guests access the rooms. Nearby transport options and restaurants make it a perfect choice for travelers.

I booked this place because there weren't many hotels in this area. My friends and I were disappointed at what you get for the price. In fact one of them told me this place sucks. For $175 for a two queen room I'd expect something nicer. There were water stain marks on the ceiling above the bed and the bath tub was kinda gross. None of us wanted to take a shower there and decided to wait until we got home. Both the bathroom sink and tub faucets were dripping and the sink had a large crack in it. The continental breakfast was adequate at best, just like the room. I'd most likely never stay here again.

We booked this hotel for the weekend of September 27th for our anniversary trip to Chicago. We went with an affordable option close to public transportation thinking that we only needed a safe, clean place to sleep at night. Unfortunately that is not what we got. We were a little put off by the outside appearance of the hotel, but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt, because again safe, clean place to sleep. However, we walked into the room and it was anything but. The blinds were broken in a place that made privacy difficult, AC cover was broken, there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, the shower floor was dirty, and the sink faucet was not properly secured. But the two most concerning issues was that the smoke detector in the room had been removed and there were just wires hanging out from the wall and the wiring in the bathroom was faulty and the light would just randomly turn off and back on. The room felt very unsafe. So we quickly changed our clothes, so we could make our evening plans, and then checked out. Now we can't get a refund - we did book through hotels.com and they said they would reach out to the management at the hotel to initiate a refund and we found out today, over a week later, that they not only didn't approve our refund, they never even replied to hotels.com request. DO NOT STAY here.

If you're looking for the worst hotel experience in the U.S., this is it. I ignored the bad reviews and tried to stay optimistic, but I regret it deeply. The rooms are filthy and poorly maintained. The carpets are ripped and stained, the bathroom is covered in mold, and the tiles are grimy. The mattress is uncomfortable, and the room is full of dust in every corner. To top it off, the blankets have an awful smell. It’s clear they don't prioritize cleanliness or upkeep. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Carlton Inn, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish!The check-in process was seamless and the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating specially the guy ABOODI. My room was immaculate, well-appointed, and featured breathtaking views.The amenities were top-notch.I particularly enjoyed the on-site dining, offering a variety of delicious options that catered to all tastes.The location was perfect, allowing easy access to local attractions while staying closer to the Midway Airport, providing a peaceful retreat.I highly recommend Carlton Inn to anyone looking for a fantastic stay.I can't wait to return!
