Our stay at the Caribou Lodge was unmatched. The guided hikes were amazing, the cabins were cozy and clean and the food was incredible. Our 9 and 11 year old boys loved playing games with Zac and Alysa’s children. The setting is absolutely gorgeous also. We were there for three nights and were very sad to leave. The boys, in fact, told us there never wanted to leave! It was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Alaska and we would love to come back. What an experience!

My experience at Carabou lodge was absolutely wonderful. It's beautiful and peaceful. I slept like a baby. The hosts are wonderful people. Engaging conversation, amazing hikes, and there children are delightful to be around. The food was delicious. Home made meals and fresh homemade bread. I will never forget this amazing experience and highly recommend it.?

We flew in for a half day visit at Caribou Lodge and a hike with Zac. What a wonderful time we had! Everyone was so nice and Zac took us on a fabulous hike. Beautiful views and his knowledge of the area and Alaska is incredible. This is the Alaska we wanted to see. Awesome views in an unpopulated area. I wish we had known about this place when we were planning our trip. We hated to leave and wish we had stayed here for a few days. Thank you Zac for showing us this beautiful piece of Alaska.

What an incredible place. We have travelled throughout the world and this is one of the most memorable places we have ever stayed. The location is stunning (right on the lake with views of Denali) and so tranquil. The rooms are very comfortable and the food is to die for. The family who run the business are just delightful. Hiking through the uninhabited wilderness with Zac to see bear and moose and coming back to the lodge for home cooked meals - we didn’t want to leave.

Caribou Lodge is a warm homey off the grid experience. The rooms are wonderful with the most comfortable beds. The food was so good and we felt more like family than tourists. We were taken on hikes (even though the weather was rainy) and learned so much about the Alaskan ecology.
The Bramante families go above and beyond to provide a truly memorable experience.

This place is truly incredible! This is not just another lodge to stay at, it’s an experience to say the least. The flight in on the float plane was just the start. Family owned and run, they quite literally open the doors to their home. Extremely accommodating, many hiking locations with options for any level of experience. The guides helped us find several moose- both bulls and cows with calves! The views of Denali are stunning. Our last night there the northern lights came out which really just concluded the trip the best way possible. Definitely recommend this adventure!

We stayed at the Caribou Lodge from 27 to 30 Aug 24. Truth be told, we weren't sure what we were getting ourselves into! The pick up from our previous accommodation in Talkeetna was punctual, and the float plane ride was smooth and scenic.

As we landed on Boomerang lake, we were warmly greeted by Zac and Joe and shown to our cabin. While the cabins were basic in nature (no electricity but had a propane heater), it was clean, cosy and the beds were so comfortable! The toilet and shower facilities were separate but only a short 10 second walk away from our cabin. We had a good night's sleep everyday we were there! The main cabin had everything we needed, electricity, hot drinks and snacks all day! Their families living there were also so friendly and welcoming!

The activities were really back to nature; hikes with varying degrees of difficulty according to our preference, while there were water activities like kayaking. You could do both as part of a hike as well! We did hikes with both Zac and Joe during our time there. Both Zac and Joe made sure our hikes were as comfortable as possible. They laid out delicious snacks, DIY sandwiches and bottled drinks for us to take on our hikes! Both of them were very knowledgeable on the flora and fauna on the hikes. Aside from that, they made conversations with all the hikers throughout the hikes, which made the hikes seem shorter than they were! We saw a moose on one of our hikes though! Oh the views were another level!!

The meals provided by their wives, Alyssa and Bonnie were great! I think it was amongst the most delicious foods we had in Alaska! Every meal was thoughtfully prepared and tasted so good! All the guests bonded over good food and drinks. The families also work so hard to keep the entire place clean for all guests!!

At first we thought we would enjoy being back to civilisation once our stay at the Caribou Lodge ended, but we found ourselves missing the simplicity of such a life and reconnecting with nature. We totally understand why Zac and Joe wanted this sorta experience for their families. This ranks as one of the main highlights of our Alaska trip! We will definitely have the lodge in mind if we decide to return to Alaska in future!

We spent ten days in Alaska in July. We opted to fly into Anchorage and drive to our desired locations. Caribou Lodge was the highlight of our trip! Zac and Joe and their families are top notch. They have created a lovely little paradise with all the amenities. Truly glamping at its finest!

Arriving by floatplane is a unique and fun way to see Alaska from a different vantage point. The cabins are clean and cozy with comfy beds. The outhouses and shower house is clean and warm and they provide everything needed to clean up after an adventurous day. Zac was our guide on day hikes. His knowledge of the local flora and fauna is most impressive. He also knows how to tailor the hikes to meet your needs and desires. And the alpine tundra is breathtakingly beautiful!

We were blessed to experience a full view of Mt Denali from their Blueberry Hill. On another day we were alerted of a black bear on (aptly named) Bear Point. Zac and Joe made sure to let us know so we didn’t miss some of the best nature that we came to see in Alaska!

Now for the food… all I can say is delicious! Alyssa and Bonnie are so talented. The meals were expertly crafted with good sized portions, served family style in the main lodge. And the desserts were on par with a fine restaurant with the attention to detail and flavor. So yummy! There is a nice coffee and tea station with home made biscotti and cookies.

When it was time to go home we felt like we were leaving good friends! Staying at Caribou lodge made our once in a lifetime trip positively unforgettable.
